Washington, D.C.

After visiting New York City, my friend, my brother and I took the train to Washington, DC, where we stayed for another week. If there is one pllace that interested me the most than it was Washington, DC, because it is where politics is made. Being the capital of the United States, Washington has a lot to see. There are many monuments, famous buildings, many museums, most of which are free, and many more things. The Capitol (left) was one of my most favorite buildings, not least because it houses the Congress where most of the important decisions are made. It is shown almost every day on television but it something entirely different if you can walk past it and even enter it.
The White House may be one of the most famous locations in Washington, DC. Unfortunately we never made it inside. You have to get up really early and stand in line for hours to get the free tickets for the very short tour of the White House. I would really like to go there but the effort is too much, I did no even go the second time I came to Washington on my way back to Germany.
In Washington we stayed at the India House Too, which was a very liberal place. In our room there was even one of the girlfriend of one of the guys sleeping. Someone wrote that it was like a fraternity but it was indeed very cheap and very good to live there.
My friend and my brother went back to NYC and I took the train to Charleston!
