University of Maryland

Also a very nice place to study is the University of Maryland, which I visited after my year at the College of Charleston. The campus has a great feeling and the school is a lot bigger and more technologically advanced than my school. That's me in front of the "M".

I spend almost a whole week here and explored a great deal of the University as well as Washington, DC, which can be reach easily by a free shuttle and the Metro. But for everyone who doesn't like to travel a lot there are both shopping options on campus as well as close to it. I was especially impressed by the sports facilities, the great swimming pools, the music building, and the computer rooms. I also met with the Japan Club and their informal discussion group which is every Monday at 4pm. The cafeteria was also pretty big, but it is mandatory to eat there when you live in the dorms, and the price is relatively expensive especially considering it is not all-you-can-eat like in Charleston (but they have Chinese food - yummy).
