In all my life I never had such a great time as my year studying
at the College of Charleston. I believe I learned more about my major subject
than anywhere else but I also believe that I learned more about life itself.
For example you may be very intelligent and yet do the most stupid things.
The best thing about the United States, I think, is that so many different
cultures live next to each other. Compared to the very homogeneous society
in Germany, this was a very good experience. My friends at the college
were very different, the were black, Asian, Latin American, Dutch, white
American, and a few others. The picture to the left is the Stern Center
with a swimming pool, food court, mail boxes, club rooms, etc. |
