This is one of my favorite avenues for creativity. I enjoy blending the real with the fantasy. In the following pictures I have taken headshots of my husband and myself and combined them with other pictures, both "real" and art. The fun is in blending the photographs with the whimsy and coming up with a new picture in which I can be a part. I have done this for several friends and they make great art work to hang, frame or even turn into greeting cards. Imagine a beloved one's surprise at seeing themselves in the midst of a fantastical setting! To order a personal piece of fantasy graphic art contact me at [email protected]
$30 per finished piece e-mailed directly to you or mailed on Disc. Need a VHS video turned into a DVD? Need a copy of a DVD you already own? Available for $20
The piece to the left was created from a photograph of a rose, a snapshot of me, and a set of clip art wings which I then made slightly translucent.
Above, I once again I use pictures of myself and husband, in this instance doing quite a bit of "painting" to blend us into the original painting and make it modest.
To the left, perhaps one of my favorite pieces, I incorporate a photo of my sister, in which I had to remove her glasses from the shot, myself, and my brother as the cherub (I don't think he was pleased). The original piece is an old Victorian painting, perfect for use on Valentine's Day!

To the left is one of my favorite creations. I actually had to "paint" a black and white head shot of myself, change the direction of the eyes, and combine it with a picture of a mermaid, a photograph of the beach, and a snapshot of my husband. Also, I added the modest shell bra to cut down on possible Internet porn! I made all the photos more cartoon-like except the man, who in this picture comes from the "real" world and is washed up on this fantasy shore. |
Above I use a headshot and several pieces of art and cartoon to come up with this little garden sprite.
