Terracotta Creations

Chinese vase
1998

Clay is a special kind of earth which is made by the decomposition of rocks through the action of weathering. Once fired in a kiln it becomes terracotta.

Apart from creating vases, jars and pots, I also create sculptures which I then colour using different acrylic paints. I create a variety of figures, dancers, lovers and also thematic sculptures which remind us of the horrors of war.

A-Bomb
length 30 cms

Dedicated to the victims of Hiroshima and Nagasaki who suffrered the attacks and later the consequences of radiation.
