The Collective Intelligence is a discussion group that is comprised of people from all over Earth. Members of the Collective bring their own unique perspective and ideas to discussions of issues that affect the global community. While the group is listed as a 'Philosophy' discussion group, our conversations are not limited to topics of philosophy. We do, however, take a philosophical approach to the subjects under discussion, and attempt to enrich our world-view by viewing issues from an objective point of view. As our dialog continues, our world view will become richer and our understanding of humanity and the universe will become deeper.

Membership to the Collective is not restricted. We welcome all people from all backgrounds. Please feel free to join the group, or view our discussions at the Collective Intelligence site.

The Collective Intelligence was established in November 1999 by Brent Silby. For nearly two years the group was hosted at theglobe.com. However, due to financial reasons, the globe was forced to discontinue its services and the Collective had to move to the Yahoo!Groups site.
