Chapter 37(Lost Souls Cave)

 

Ariel watched Conner, she took his hand taking him back to the couch. " I’m not telling you the whole truth.” She whispered and hissing and a flash came through the window slamming her into Conner and sending him flying across the room hitting the bathroom door.

“Conner” Ariel screamed rushing towards him then sensing someone behind her, she turned looking at the person in front of her. 

“Who the hell are you?” Cordelia screamed grabbing Ariel by the throat lifting her feet off the ground. “Tell me who you are.” She yelled squeezing harder. Ariel swung her arm punching Cordy right in the head sending her flying. She floated over to Cordy and Smiled wickedly.

“Neat trick.” Cordy squealed realizing the power Ariel controlled. Ariel grunted swooping to the side as Cordy jumped trying to kick her. “Yeah thanks. Comes with the territory,” Her eyes stopped glancing towards where Cordy was looking. Conner’s fragile form lying on the cold floor. Ariel grinned rushing past her scooping him in her arms.

“Here’s another trick.” Ariel grinned swaying her hand through the air. A portal opened and Cordelia began to chant loudly her eyes growing dark, rage surging through her body watching as Ariel jumped through the portal a roar escaped and she followed slamming into a wall.

 

“Fuck!” Cordelia growled snapping her fingers and disappearing. Ariel and Conner landed in front of a dirt road. Ariel placed Conner  down and his eyes fluttered open as they reached their destination. It was dark and cold and he shivered pulling his jacket tighter.

“Where are we?” He asked confused. She smiled and grabbed the door pulling it open. 

“Ahhh, you’ve come…yes…. and the boy, his blood smells so pure,” the voice taunted echoing through the cave sending shivers down his spine, he grabbed Ariel pulling her closer to him.

Conner could smell her breath and her perfume. A mix of strawberries and watermelon, He grew hard inching closer to her. He had never really had anyone besides Cordy and that really wasn’t a relationship, he knew that he never really loved her, it was just an act to get his father back for all the things he had done to him, but, Ariel was different she made him feel something he had never felt. She cared for him and made him feel like he mattered to her and that maybe one day she could love him. Truly love him. He ached rubbing his crotch trying to hide his erection from her, she smiled at him and his heart fluttered. She was so beautiful and so young, her hair fell loosely over her shoulders and her eyes gleamed a bright blue that made him quiver, it was as if she pulled him in and held him there. He could stay with her forever.

“Where are we? He asked again sliding his large hands with hers. His eyes scanning the dark, damp tunnel.

“We are here. The Lost Souls cave. Your father and Buffy are here and we need to stop them. Remember?” Pulling him through the tunnel a loud bang echoed and snickering bellowed around them, an odd laughter filled the room. There was something very unusual and Ariel stopped causing Conner to bump into her. She recognized the smell and her eyes grew big turning her head to the boy.

“Oh no! We need to go.” She screeched pulling his arm and running through the cave. There were many noises and Conner could not hear anything except his own heartbeat that was beating a hundred miles per minute. He swallowed hard tripping over a rock. He heard whispers and mummers that the end of days and of the new age were coming. They finally stooped in front of a huge gate. 

Ariel gasped as she looked at the thing that stood before them. It smiled gazing down at her, its eyes flickering with satisfaction. It smiled and walked through her transforming into a human form.

“Son”

Conner looked up hearing the voice and his head shot from the stranger than to Ariel, he tripped falling backwards over a skeleton and landing on the floor.

“Father is that you.”

Holtz Smiled and crept closer to Conner placing his hand on his shoulder.

“Conner my son. Its time.” Ariel screamed and Holtz grabbed Conner disappearing into thin air. “Conner Noooooooooooooo!." Ariel ran through the gates following the scent that surrounded her.
