Break The Mold By: spoiledsquish A/N: Do I have to repeat it again? It's property of Jossie's also we stroke up a deal of me getting all rights to the characters as soon as he gets Cordy out of her coma.. Pfft!! They're his and Cordelia's still in the damn coma. Damn you, JW! I wanna thank everyone who's patiently awaiting the new chappies of my other stories. I'll get 'em out probably on Saturday. If I don't you can shoot me, stuff me, make me your bitch..Okay, and now onto other stuff. Seriously, though, call me! Also, Spike and Buffy are half siblings. Spike's father, Hank Summers, married Buffy's mother Joyce, after he got her pregnant with Buffy. Spike was two moths old at the time, which makes them eleven months apart. They are in love, and it's not a marriage of convenience. A/N 2: I tried to make Snyder less of a Nazi than he already is. Stupid troll. Buffy's more of a bitch than usual. Spordelia all the way, baby!! They should pay me for writing this crap. Timeline: A/U. No vamps or slayers. Just our own personal demons such as lust and thrift. *G*. Laugh, why don't you? I just quoted "When She Was Bad." The year is 1999. Couples: Buffy/Angel, Buffy/Xander (sorry it doesn't last B/X'ers but I incorporated your couple just for my own personal amusement!), Angel/Cordelia, Xander/Cordelia, Willow/Oz, Fred/Wesley and Faith/Spike. Summary: Seniors Angel O'Connor and his twin sister Faith have just moved from San Francisco to the small little town of Sunnydale. How will things change when he meets the girl of his dreams along with her boyfriend and their other friends? Will true love win out in the end or will fate just sit back and decide to manipulate the lives of four friends? Chapter 1: The Sunnydalians ~Sunnydale, CA: October 1999~ "Did you hear the news, Buff?" William 'Spike' Summers asked his sister. "We got two new transfers." "Local?" Elizabeth 'Buffy' Summers asked. "No, they're from San Francisco." Xander chimed in, putting an arm around his girlfriend. "Big town." Cordelia Chase nodded. "Hopefully, they'll have good fashion sense." "Nowhere near as good as you, Cor." Buffy complimented her best friend. "Besides, you know the rules." "You're brutal, Buffy!" Willow joked. "Making them pass a test to prove their coolness. You didn't make Oz do that." "FYI, Will: You and Oz were already together before Spike and I moved here during sophie year. Cor and I didn't start it until junior year. Besides, it's not brutal. It just defies what your peers rank you as." Buffy told her. "Guys, I just saw them!" Harmony Kendall ran up to them. "Total hotties." "411?" Cordelia asked. "Um, a Liam Angelus and a Faith O'Connor. Twins. Brunette hair, brown eyes. Residence: San Francisco, California. Killer clothes. Both seniors. Liam's older. Parents: Rupert and a Jenny O'Connor of the O'Connor cosmetics company. Rich. Very rich and very available. Both single and looking" Harmony breathed. "Thank you, Harm." Buffy rolled her eyes. "Do you have that report I asked you about?" "Yeah." Harmony handed her a manila folder. "Did you need anything else?" "Yeah, actually." Spike said. "But I'll ask you about it at lunch." "All right." Harmony blushed at Spike. "I'll see you at lunch. Bye Will, bye guys." As soon as Harmony walked away, William looked at the rest of the group. Spike said his 'see ya's' and walked off. "'Bye Will'." Buffy scoffed. "Could she be any more pathetic?" "Why? 'Cuz she's totally in love with your brother?" Xander asked. "Love? Was that what that was?" Buffy asked. "'Sides, you're supposed to back me up, not Spike." "I am backing you up." Xander said as he kissed her lower lip. The rest of the group turned away. "Sorry." Buffy said a few minutes later. "Class, anyone?" Chapter 2: The Hotties ~Principal Snyder's Office- 7:22 a.m.~ "..Here are your class schedules. Any questions?" the principal asked. "None." Angel and Faith said simultaneously before being ushered out into the hall. "What did you get?" Faith asked her older brother. "AP Chem, Intro to Art and Society, English 1010 CC, Honors History, AP Physics, Calculus, and Life Management. You?" Angel asked. "Nothing that horrendous, thank god!" Faith exclaimed. "We have English together so that's a plus. I did get Calculus, Modern Psychology, Modern Biology, History 1010 CC, Library Aide, and Painting 1. I guess we should get to class though. Have fun, bro. I'll see you at lunch." "All right. Hey, Faith?" Angel asked her. "Yeah." Faith replied. "Good luck. It's gonna be different here, I promise. Things are different now." Angel told her. "I know, Angel. Believe me, I know. And hey, make some friends. You look like you could use some." Faith chuckled. "Thanks for the vote of confidence, sis." Angel told her. "Anytime." Faith winked at him. "Anytime." The female waved to her brother and wandered off in search of her painting class. Angel, on the other hand made his way to Life Management. *It's gonna be a long day, O'Connor.* Angel thought to himself. *In five hours, you'll be free.* *It's gonna be a long day, O'Connor.* Faith thought to herself. *In five hours, you'll be free.* Chapter 3: Lunch Break A/N: Buffy never had a bad record in high school. They moved to Sunnydale because her father got a transfer. And for all of those who don't get it, Harmony calls Spike 'Will.' Just wanted to clear things up! "Can you believe Mr. Whitworth? Giving homework on the first day of senior year? So not cool." Cordelia sneered. "He should be tarred and feathered in front of the whole student body." "Yeah, but that's never gonna happen." Oz said. "Nah." Buffy agreed. "Anyone seen the newbies yet? I heard they got kicked out of their old high school in San Francisco 'cuz the boy almost burnt down the science lab." "Well I heard the girl attacked her English teacher with an exacto knife." Cordelia scoffed. "Can you say schitzo?" "They better not get in my way." Buffy told them. "I mean, anyone who tries to attack someone out of the blue needs to be put away." "Hey Will." Harmony smiled as she walked over to their table. "You said you wanted to ask me something?" "Yeah." Spike nodded. "Buff, I'll see you after school." "Buh-bye." Buffy smiled sweetly and frowned when they walked away. "I don't know why my brother dates those bimbos. Doesn't he realize he has more potential than that?" "Maybe he likes her." Oz suggested. "Oh please. My brother just needs to get laid, all right?" Buffy sighed and noticed a brunette haired guy across the cafeteria. "Hello, salty goodness. Who's the hottie?" "Hey!" Xander exclaimed. "Liam Angelus O'Connor, the new guy." Willow reminded her. "The one who supposedly burnt down the science lab." "Cor, we should go and say hello. Meet and greet." Buffy implied. "Oh, hell no." Xander snapped. "You wanna check out the merchandise. See if he's boner worthy. Well, listen here. I'm the only person you're gonna be boning, Buff." "Aww, are we a little envious?" Cordelia whined. "You could be as nice a hottie as that, in the bizarre world." "Play nice." Buffy remarked, standing up. "Who's that girl who sat down next to him?" "Probably Faith, his sister. She's okay." Xander shrugged. "I met her today in Calculus. She's quite the talker." "Spare me." Buffy rolled her eyes as she and Cordelia waltzed over to where Angel was sitting. "Can I help you?" Faith snorted as the girls approached. "You must be the welcome committee. Where's the mat?" "Very funny." Cordelia faked a smile. "I'm Cordelia Chase, that's Buffy Summers." "Faith O'Connor." Faith introduced. "That's my twin brother Liam." "Angel." Angel corrected her without looking up at them. "Oh, sorry. 'Angel' as he prefers to be called." Faith rolled her eyes. "So, you look strangely familiar, B. Mind if I call you B? Have we met somewhere?" "Buffy used to go to school in L.A. She moved down here a couple of years ago. What about you guys?" Cordelia asked. "Oh, San Fran." Faith sighed. "Small piece of town you got here. Where's the cool hangouts?" "The Bronze." Buffy explained. "It's about a half a block from here. They let anyone in but it's about the only cool spot we got here. It's in the bad part of town." "Where's that?" Faith asked. "About half a block from the good part of town. We don't have a whole lot of town here. You guys should show. The cool crowd usually shows up about ten-ish. It's Friday night, no cover." "Yeah, whatever." Faith nodded. "We'll see you tonight then." "Yeah, later." Cordelia nodded as she and Buffy walked away. "How hot was he? He better not be seeing anybody." "You little slut." Buffy giggled. "You just want him for a good fuck!" "Is that a crime?" Cordelia asked as they left the cafeteria. Chapter 4: Spike's Question A/N: I want to intro a new coupling: Gunn/Harmony. It's kinda fucked up, I know, but it'll work! Also, this is strictly a computer story, which means I don't type any chapters when I'm not at the computer. My other stories were write in a notebook and type it up when you're allowed access to it. This one can and will be done a lot quicker than the others. I'll be home all night Saturday trying to catch up on my other fics so be patient and hang tight! I hope you enjoy chappie 4. I just wanna thank all the generous reviewers who have embraced.embraced?...What kind of wording am I using? Anyway, I just wanna thank all the B/A'ers who have reviewed to tell me how much they love this fic. This one's for you! "So what is it you wanted to ask me?" Harmony asked Spike as they sent down on an empty bench. "It must have been way important because you couldn't ask me if front of your friends." "Actually, I just didn't want to ask you in front of Buffy." Spike admitted. "She's over-protective when it comes to me. She doesn't want to see me get hurt." "Neither do I, Will." Harmony replied sincerely. "Why would I? We've known each other for years. We're best friends." "Harmony, what I wanted to ask you--Will you go out with me this weekend? I really like you and I want more." Spike blurted out. "Okay, usually silence isn't a good answer. I just admitted my feelings, Harm. Say something." "Will--I don't know what to say. I don't like you like that. We're best friends. I'm sorry if I led you on in any way." Harmony apologized. "See, I've been acting strange around you 'cuz I like your friend Charles Gunn. I'm so sorry, Will." "You like Gunn?" Spike grinned. "This is wonderful, Harm!" "It is?" Harmony questioned. "But I thought--" "No. I thought you liked me so I had an idea to make you hate me after a couple of dates. Let me set you and Gunn up. You can meet him tonight at the Bronze around, I don't know, ten-ish?" Spike asked. "Yeah." Harmony hugged him. "Thanks for understanding, Will." "No, Harm. Thank you." Spike stood up and walked away. *Things are finally looking up for you, friend.* Spike was too busy lost in his thoughts he didn't see Faith bump into him. "Sorry." Spike apologized. "No, I didn't see you there." Faith sighed. "My name's Faith. Faith O'Connor." "William Summers. Everyone calls me 'Spike' though." Spike told her. "Wait, you're Buffy's brother, right?" Faith asked. "I met her at lunch today. Look, I have to get to class. Um, I'm meeting your sister and a bunch of her friends at the Bronze tonight. Maybe I'll see you there?" "Yeah, cool." Spike smiled and walked away. "'Yeah, cool?' Real good, Spike. Stupid idiot!" "Oh, no. That didn't sound desperate at all, Faith!" Faith scolded herself as she trudged to class. "Now, he'll really see your desperateness when he finds you at the Bronze tonight. Oh, god. What the Hell am I gonna wear?!" Chapter 5: Clothing Nightmares And Meaningful Talks "How do I look?" Cordelia Chase asked her best friends as she walked back into the bedroom. "Is it too sexy? Do I want it to show too much cleavage. I don't wanna turn him off, you know?" "Cordy, I think it's fine. The black leather miniskirt is perfect. Plus, the black long sleeved midriff bearing top totally shows off your fab and fit bod." Buffy assured her. "I think Angel'll fall head over heels once he sees you." "He better." Cordelia said. "I'm very high maintenance. I don't go for just anyone." "We know." Buffy and Willow said simultaneously. "Speaking of, what are you gonna wear?" Willow asked Buffy. "You always have a new outfit whenever we go dancing." "Oh, I do. It's this cute little maroon top with an opening where my belly button is. I also bought these cute black leather pants that are to die for with adorable matching strappy heels." Buffy described to them. "And you, Will?" "Oh, just a sky blue tank top with some low-riser jeans." Willow told them. "Practical, yet subtle." "Very nice." Buffy said as she applied some strawberry lip gloss. "So, you talked to Faith, right? Both she and Angel are coming?" "Correct." Willow agreed. "She did ask if Spike was still coming. I don't remember her meeting Spike today. Did one of you two mention him to her?" "No." Cordelia asked. "He did seem really happier after spending that alone time with Harmony." "No, Harm's in like with Gunn." Buffy shook her head. "Maybe they ran into each other after Spike and Harmony spoke. That would explain the idiot look on my brother's face that I kept noticing after school. I guess I could see them together. After all, Faith's got the bitchier-I'm-so-much-better-than- you attitude. She could be one of us." "And Angel does have the hottie look stamped all over his forehead." Willow nodded. "This could be it, the something that makes me a shoe-in for Prom Queen!" Buffy squealed. "All you have to do is date Angel until they crown me over Darla and we're good." "Hello, I'm also running." Cordelia said. "Oh, right. Unforeseeable problem." Buffy sighed. "I still think I can win though. Just give it a shot. For me, please?" "All right. And only because you're my best friend!" Cordelia agreed. "Besides, we look real good in tiaras." Meanwhile, at the O'Connor Residence...... "How 'bout this?" Faith asked her brother. "Or did you like the red one better?" "Faith, I don't think he's gonna really care what you wear, as long as you show up, right?" Angel said. "Sometimes, for being a smarter, older brother, you can be so dense." Faith snapped. "I like these people, Angel. They're my one chance at having a semi-normal group of friends and the last thing I need is for it to get fucked up based on the wrong outfit I wore to the Bronze on my first day. Now, be honest." "All right. The navy blue jeans and the black tank top. It's subtle yet stylish." Angel told her. "Oh, thank you!" Faith hugged him. "Lighten up, already. Now you ready to go?" "Do I have to?" Angel teased. "Come on. I promise if you hate them after two hours you can go and do whatever it is you do by yourself." Faith tugged at his arm. "Now, come on. We're gonna be late. Don't fuck this up for me, O'Connor. I swear you'll regret it if you try." Chapter 6: Comfort Zones "Wow." Faith said as she walked into the Bronze. "If this is the only good scene in town, I'll be here 24/7." "Everyone pretty much is." Cordelia said as she walked up to them. "Hi Faith, Angel. We weren't sure you guys were gonna show. You're late." "Fashionably on time." Faith corrected and smiled when Cordelia chuckled. "I'm, um, gonna go say hi to B." "So, do you talk?" Cordelia asked Angel. "You just seem really quiet." "I like your friend." Angel told her. "Huh?" Cordelia said. "Excuse me?" "Buffy. I like Buffy." Angel explained. "Oh. Oh. I see." Cordelia nodded. "Look you want some friendly advice? Stay away from Buffy. She's perfectly happy with Xander. And besides, last time Xander caught someone who wasn't Spike or him hanging around to closely with Buffy..The guy landed up in a hospital." "Thanks." Angel smiled. "I can hold my own." "It's good to talk to you, Angel. I'd like it if we forgot about this little excursion and maybe be friends?" Cordelia asked. "I'd like that." Angel agreed. "So, you wanna introduce me to your gang?" "See how perfectly they're getting along?" Buffy mentioned to Xander as she watched the conversation. "I think our Cordy's in love." "Hey guys." Cordelia said as she and Angel walked over together. "What's up?" "Nothing, really." Buffy replied, taking a sip of her Cherry Coke. "Just doing our thang, you know." "Hey." Spike said as he noticed Faith. "Hi, Spike." Faith blushed. "Wanna dance?" Spike wondered. "That's a great idea, Spike. Let's all dance." Buffy led Xander out to the dance floor. "He seems a lot happier than I've ever seen him, even when he was with Dru." "Stop trying to play matchmaker." Xander scolded. "If it's meant to be, it will be." "I just want to see my friends happy? Is that a crime?" Buffy asked. "Depends on the kind of happy." Xander joked. "Hey, it was a joke. You know I love you." "I know." Buffy nodded. "Nothing's ever gonna come between us, right?" "As long as I live and breathe." Xander promised. "Besides, as long as we love each other, nothing can stand in our way." "Xander Harris, a romantic?" Cordelia chimed in. "Who knew?" "Sure as hell not me." Buffy said. "Cordy and I are gonna freshen up. Be right back." Buffy drags Cordelia into the restroom. "So, what did he say? Are you two gonna hook up or what?" Buffy asked. "Not quite. Angel has the hots for another girl." Cordelia told her. "Who is she?!" Buffy questioned. "You. Angel O'Connor has a crush on you, Buffy." Cordelia admitted. "Oh, fuck." Buffy cursed. "Fuck, indeed." Cordelia agreed. Chapter 7: Letting Go "So, what are you gonna do?" Cordelia asked. "I can't tell Xander." Buffy sighed. "I'll talk to Angel. This just--God, I love Xander. I want to be with Xander." "Buffy, look. Maybe--Have you ever considered that maybe Xander isn't the right guy for you?" Cordelia inquired. "Go out on a date with Angel, see where things go. Then, if you're still unhappy, you'll know Xander's the guy for you." "Xander's gonna freak when he hears this." Buffy told her as she washed her hands. "Can you not tell Xander. Give me a few days to break the news to him." "Of course." Cordelia agreed. "This is for the best, Buffy." "I know. You're right." Buffy nodded. "It's just hard. Xander's been my first serious boyfriend since I moved here." "Hey." Xander smiled as the girls walked out of the bathroom together. "Why so glum, sweetie?" "Xander, we need to talk." Buffy told him. "And it's not a good kind of talk." "C'mon, Buff. You know you can tell me anything." Xander encouraged her. Buffy turned back towards Angel and Cordelia. "Could you guys give us a minute?" Buffy asked them. "Yeah." Cordelia pushed Angel along. "Do you want me to wait for you?" "Nah, I'll catch a ride with Willow." Buffy told her. "Xander, let's sit down." "Okay." Xander took a seat next to her. "Buffy, you're freakin' me out here." "I've been thinking about our future." Buffy told him. "Buff, we went over this earlier." Xander protested. "No, Xand. I want to break up." Buffy blurted out. "What?" Xander replied. "Is there someone else?" "No. No." Buffy shook her head. "I did some thinking and I just feel that we need a break." "But I love you." Xander remarked. "I don't." Buffy snapped back. "I'm sorry, Xander. Please, don't make this any harder than it already is." "How long have you--" Xander started. "I think, in my heart, I've always known." Buffy sighed. "And I think you have too. If I led you on, Xander, I'm so sorry. You have to believe that." "I do." Xander hugged her. "Goodbye Buffy." "Goodbye Xander Harris." Buffy said as she exited the Bronze. "Goodbye." Chapter 8: Dealing With Heartache "Morning." Cordelia smiled the next day at school. "Oh, hi." Xander faked a smile. "You okay? What's wrong?" Cordelia asked. "Buffy--She.We broke up last night." Xander told her. "I'm sorry." Cordelia apologized. "I knew you two were fond of each other." "Fond?! I love her, Cordelia. I have from the moment she walked up those steps. I wasn't 'fond' of her." Xander yelled. "It hurts, Cordy. I feel like she ripped out my heart a stomped on it a million times over." "I know." Cordelia nodded. "Xander, do you want my advice?" "Sure, whatever." Xander sighed. "Move on." Cordelia told her. "You can't sit there pining over a girl who doesn't return your feelings. I did the same thing with Owen. It was a waste and I regret that I was that stupid. Don't make the same mistake I did, Xand." "I don't know if I can, Cordelia." Xander said. "I can't make any promises." "All right." Cordelia nodded. "Hey, what are you doing tonight? Wanna go see a movie or we could talk over coffee together." "Are you asking me out, Miss Chase?" Xander flirted. "Maybe. Are you saying yes?" Cordelia inquired. "Yeah." Xander agreed. "I'll pick you up at seven." "Okay." Cordelia said and walked away. *What the Hell? Why did I just ask him out? He is kinda cute. Oh my God! I'm think I'm falling for Xander Harris!* Chapter 9: Back To The Beginning A/N: For those of you who've emailed me about Fred and Wesley, I'm not quite sure how to incorporate them into the story. I don't really want them there as students. I was thinking more along the lines of a teacher or a mentor. Tell me your thoughts in a review or a private email message. Three Months Later (After Winter Break) "Oh my God." Darla McGovern said as she watched Buffy Summers get out of her red BMW convertible. "Buffy, what's with the leather?" "A new look." Buffy rolled her eyes. "Oh please. You didn't think I was dress all preppy for the rest of my life? Please! Preppy is so over." "So true." Darla nodded. "Not that you give a damn but our Cordelia is going out with your ex tonight. Can you believe it? Xander and Cordelia?" "Excuse me?!" Buffy yelled. "Xander and Cordelia? Wait, I don't care. You know what? They can have each other." "Buffy, there you are." Cordelia approached her best friend. "What's going on? And what's with the leather? Did I miss the memo again?" "You bitch." Buffy spat out as she slapped Cordelia. "How could you do this to me? You knew how I felt about Xander and yet, ironically, you were the one who encouraged me to break up with him." "Relax, Buff. We just had coffee a couple times. Xander and I are friends. Can't friends spend time together?" Cordelia told her. "Do you have feelings for him?" Buffy asked straightforwardly. "Yes." Cordelia admitted. "But I won't act on them. You're my best friend. No guy's worth losing your best friend over." "That's rich, Cordy." Buffy snorted. "As of this moment, our friendship is over. You got what you wanted. Now live with it." She, Darla, and the Buffettes (Buffy's followers i.e. "the Cordettes" as they were called in the series) walked off. Xander walked up to Cordelia moments later. "Hey." Xander smiled at his friend. "I saw you talking to Buffy." "She hates me, Xander." Cordelia told him. "She thinks we're dating." "Are we?" Xander asked her. "C'mon, Cordelia. I like you a lot. I never thought I would find someone else after losing Buffy. She can be a jealous bitch but deep down, she's scared. She's scared of love, always has been. I know now that she was right. I didn't love her. She was a high school crush. I want to date you, Cordelia." "Xander, I don't want to lose her as my friend." Cordelia cried. "She'll get over it, Cordy." Xander hugged her. "Let me walk you to class?" "Sure, whatever." She nodded. "Hey, Buffy." Angel greeted his crush as they walked into class. "What the Hell do you want?" Buffy snapped at him. "Nothing. Just wanted to say hi." Angel told her. "What's wrong with you?" "Other than my life has been a downward spiral for the last three months? Nothing. And it all started with you just waltzing into town. Why couldn't you have just stayed away?!" Buffy yelled. "All our lives were better off without you and Faith fucking things up!" "Look, I'm sorry about you finding out about Cordelia and Xander." Angel growled at her. "Just because you can't deal with the fact that your ex is drooling over someone other than yourself doesn't give you the right to accuse me or Faith of something we didn't do. You just need to deal." "Whatever." Buffy grabbed her bag and walked out of class. She ran smack into Parker Abrams in the hall. "Buffy, hey." Parker smiled. "I'm sorry about Xander and Cordelia." "Why? Xander and I are over." Buffy told him. "I know. I just was surprised. And glad." Parker told her. "Why glad?" Buffy asked. "'Cuz I like you." Parker told her. "You wanna get out of here?" "Please." Buffy agreed as he took her hand and led her to his car. "What do you think?" Parker asked as they sat down inside. Buffy straddled him. "As long as you promise to let me drive stick, we'll be okay." Buffy winked. A/N: What, did you think it was gonna be smooth sailing from here on out? Buffy needs to get a reality check before she hooks up with Angel. I know her and Parker is seriously going to piss people off, but I write the story so I get to decide who shacks up with who! Also, Buffy's relationship with Parker will end up being very short-lived. Chapter 10: Dumping The Trash "Look at that!" Cordelia exclaimed as she walked into the Bronze arm in arm with her date, Xander Harris. "She's dancing with Parker?! This could ruin everything she's worked for." "Buffy's going through a phase." Willow told them. "My Uncle told me about this. Buffy craves the attention, so by dating someone practically everyone in this town hates, she's getting that attention." "Thanks, Knowledge Girl." Faith winked. "Come on, Spike. Do something. She's your sister. Talk to her." "Someone should. Buffy couldn't do any worse than where she's at right now. And who's to blame?" Darla pointed to Angel, Xander, and Cordelia. "You three. Huh. Her so-called friends sure stabbed her in the back with this one. I don't think she'll ever trust you again." "Get out of here, Darla." Spike growled at Darla. "Trust me, I never intended to stay." Darla walked off. "Oh, but just a quick note. She's gonna fuck Parker at Prom. Later." "Shit." Cordelia muttered. "This is not gonna happen." Spike growled and pulled his sister apart from Parker. "Spike, what the Hell are you doing?" Buffy yelled. "I was on a date here." "Buff, do you even realize that Parker only wants you for a lay?" Spike bellowed. "I won't allow some miserable low-life to ruin my baby sister like that." "You don't have a say in the matter." Buffy told him. "It's my life, not yours. And if I want to have sex with a guy, I will. Not like Xander never took care of that for me." "What?" Spike asked. "Xander and I had been having sex for about a year and a half before we broke up." Buffy smirked. "So, if you wanna blame anyone, blame him. Parker, let's go." Buffy grabbed her jacket and stopped at the Bronze exit door. She looked back at Spike. "Oh, and Spike." Buffy called. "I won't be coming home tonight. I'm eighteen years old and quite frankly, I don't think I can be in the same house as you right now. I love you, Spike, but right now I can't even look at you." She slammed the Bronze door on her way out. "This is all your fault, O'Connor." Spike yelled at Angel. "You just had to keep pushing, right? 'Till you got her. Well, look at what's happened. As of right now, you better watch your back. You did this to Buffy and if anything happens to her, I will hold you personally responsible." "Spike." Faith pled. "Don't, Faith." Spike walked off to the refreshment counter. "Just don't." T.B.C. I didn't call the refreshment counter a bar 'cuz I didn't want people confused. Spike is 18, not 21. My computer is fucking up, so I can't promise any updates soon. Also, chappie 11 is in reconstruction due to the forgetting to save on my computer. So alas, I must rewrite. Sorry. Chapter 11: The Battle Begins "Angel." Xander said the following day at school. "Don't listen to Spike. He's just very overprotective of his sister. It'll blow over in a few days." "I don't think it will, Xander." Angel argued. "I know that if that was Faith, I'd never forgive the guy. I'd do the exact same thing. I can't blame Spike for what he feels. In fact, I praise the guy for it. That's why I'm transferring to a prep-school. Faith and I talked about it with my parents last night, and we think that it's better that way. Faith'll still go here, but by the end of this week, I'll be currently enrolled in Kent Prepatory School, right on the outskirts of town." "I'm sorry, Angel." Cordelia said. "I'm gonna talk to Spike about this. He'll listen to me. I'm Buffy's best friend...Or was, anyway. I'll take care of it!" "I highly doubt he's going to take what you have to say seriously, Cordelia." Angel told her. "Spike wasn't playing games. I've got to get to class. I'll see you guys later." "I've got to do something, Xander." Cordelia said. "This is all my fault. If I'd just kept my big mouth shut, we'd all still be better off." "Listen, Cor, there's nothing you can do about it now. We just have to roll with the consequences." Xander explained. "Besides, I'm glad that Buffy and I broke up. She doesn't love me, I don't love her. I think that the reason we stayed together for so long was because we were comfortable around each other." "I just...Xander, I hate seeing them torn up like this." Cordelia sighed. "How did things end up like this?" "It's called love, Cordelia. They're both so in love that they can't think straight. Love makes you do the wacky." Xander reminded her. "If they're so in love, then what the Hell is Buffy doing macking it up with Parker?" Cordelia pointed to a locker down the hall. "I don't know. Xander shook his head. "But she's coming this way." "Hey, guys." Buffy smiled. "What's up?" "Nothing." Cordelia said cheerily. "How are you?" "Good." Buffy nodded. "Cor, are we still on for our monthly ritual?" "Buff, I hope you don't take this the wrong way, but I didn't think we still had our monthly ritual." Cordelia told her. "You've been kind of absentee gal the last couple months." "I know." Buffy apologized. "I've just been so stressed lately. I guess I just completely freaked when you told me that Angel had feelings for me." "Understandable." Cordelia hugged her. "Friends?" "Always." Buffy smiled. "So, Xand..." "Buffy." He said with no emotion. He was stunned as she hugged him fiercely. When she pulled away, she saw the weird look formed on his face. "I'm happy for you." She told him. "Be happy, okay? And dont make a scene." "What changed your mind?" Xander asked. "Let's just say.that I had a real eye opener." She winked. "I have to go, you guys. I'll see you later."
