The story: Angel becomes human and he goes to Buffy's grave to get closer. Angel finds out that 

Buffy is a life again. 

Their live will become completely different.

Time: the story takes place in season 2 of Angel and in season 6 of Buffy.

Feedback. Please give me some. This was my very first fic ever. So be gentle. 

Day began. In L.A. Cordelia just came in the hotel. Gunn and Wesley were there to. Angel lay in  his

 bed. There was something different about today, Angel thought. Downstairs Cordelia asked Wesley 

if Angel was still in bed. 

He conferment it. “This is ridiculous! It is 1 pm! I’m getting him out of bed!” Cordelia said. 

"Cordelia, wait! Angel is thinking al lot of Buffy again. He feels there is something, but he doesn’t know 

what. And it hurts him to much to call Giles”, Wesley said. 

“He really loved that woman, didn’t he?”, Gunn asked. 

“More than anything in the world”, Cordelia said, “But I’m now getting him out of bed.” 

Cordelia went upstairs and knocked on his door. Angel didn’d answer. Cordelia walked into his room. 

Angel was in serious thoughts. “Angel? Angel?!!!”, Cordelia asked and then screamed. 

Angel woke up from his thoughts. “What’s the matter, Cordelia?”, he asked. 

“Well it is 1 pm and you’re the only one who is still in bed!”, Cordelia said. 

“Oh, well I see. I will come out now. Did we had any costumers?”, he asked. 

“No, we didn’t had any costumers. Angel? Where you thinking about Buffy again?”, she asked. 

He looked at here and said “Yes, I was. There is something, but I can’t get my hand on it. But that’s 

not the only thing. I have the feeling that this isn’t going to be a normal day. I don’t know what it is”. 

Cordelia looked confused. 

“I will come down, just give me a few minutes and I will be ready for some demon slaying. She smiled

 and went down stairs. She informed Wesley en Gunn about what Angel just had said to her.

But Angel wasn’t the only one with that feeling. Buffy had it too! In Sunnydale everything was quit. Willow, 

Xander, Tara, Anja and Giles were in the Magic Shop, when Buffy came in. Buffy was in deep thoughts. Willow

 walked to the slayer and held her hand in front of Buffy’s eyes. She didn’t respond. Willow was concerned and

 called her. She woke up from her thoughts. 

“What’s wrong Buffy?”, Willow asked. 

“It’s nothing.” Willow didn’t seem to buy that. “Well”, Buffy continued, “I’ve got a feeling about today. It’s not a

 bad feeling, it’s a good feeling. My thoughts are saying that today will be an important day.” 

Giles looked serious. 

“Hey, maybe I’ll get a boyfriend today!”, Buffy joked. But Giles  didn’t  thought that was funny. “Giles it is just a

 thought, a feeling. It isn’t as the world will end or something. Trust me. We will soon find out what this feeling is

 al about.”, Buffy said. 

Giles nodded and agreed with Buffy. “So is there any big bad in Sunnydale or do we have a  day of?”, Buffy asked.

 “Well it seems that were having a day off, but we must stay alert.” Giles said. 

“That’s great. Uh, Willow can I talk to you?”, Buffy asked. 

They went to the training room. “What’s up Buffy?”, Willow asked. 

“Well, I have a question. I’ve been ‘a live’  for a couple of months now, and I just keep thinking about Angel. He 

doesn’t know yet. What do you think, should I tell him? My heart says that I must tell, but what if he is moving 

on. That he has falling in love with somebody else?” Buffy said. 

“I also think that you should tell him that your are a live, but Buffy don’t do it over the phone. Maybe somebody 

should call him and ask him if he wants to come to Sunnydale because we have good news for him.” the red head said. 

“That’s a great idea!! Thanks Willow, you’re the best friend anybody could have wished for. Can you call him? I 

mean, can you call him right now?!!” 

“Sure, what’s the number”. They walked back into the store and looked for the number.

Back in L.A.

Angel came down the stairs. Cordelia, Gunn and Wesley where taking there axes en stakes. Angel looked surprised.

 Gunn saw Angel and explained it to him. “Cordelia just had a vision. She saw demons preparing something big. We

 have to stop them.” Angel agreed and took his stuff. 

Cordelia looked at Angel and asked “Is this a part of your special day?” 

“I don’t now, but I’ve got a good feeling about this” he said. She looked strange at him. 

“You’re a funny man, Angel! A funny ,man!” They were just out the door when the phone rang. They didn’t heard him.

“They don’t answer the phone!”, Willow said to Buffy. 

She looked disappointed and said “Well, then we will try it again about a hour”. Willow nodded. 

“Angel will be so happy if he hears that you are a live!” Xander said. His hatred had gone low, since Buffy had died 

and Willow had to tell Angel the news. Angel was defestated when he heard it. Buffy had asked Willow how he reacted. 

Willow told her that he had cried for several days and went of to a convent. After that, they didn’t hear anything anymore. 

“So Anja, how are the wedding plans?” Buffy asked her. Anja glowed when she heard the word wedding. 

“This afternoon I’m going to buy my dress. I really enjoy it if the girls wanted to go with me.” She looked at Buffy, Willow 

and Tara. 

“Of course!!” they said. 

“All right, I’m going to leave at 10 minutes.” Anja said. 

“We will come with you” Buffy said. 

Buffy looked at Giles and said: “Dawn is going to be here at 15.15, can you look after her? Weren’t not making it late”. 

“Sure, I’ll take care of here.”  

The ladies went to the brides shop. There were beautiful dresses. Anja went looking for a dress that she thought would 

fit her perfect. She took one dress and fitted him on. The dress looked beautiful on her. The girl had tears in there eyes 

when they saw her. Anja wanted to put other dresses on so that she would buy the perfect dress. She saw a dress that 

was perfect for Buffy. 

Anja, Willow and Tara tried to convince Buffy to put him on. She did and when she looked in the mirror she started to cry. 

Willow went to her and asked what was wrong. Buffy said, “I don’t know Will. I see me in a wedding dress and I know that 

I can’t wear it on the day I want to be with the man that I love”. They all knew who that man was. It was Angel. After al 

those years she still loved him. Buffy thought that that was also the reason she started something with Spike. He was 

a sort of good vampire and he had lived with Angel for many years. She needed his comfort.

In L.A. things weren’t that peaceful. Angel, Cordelia, Gunn and Wesely were standing in front of a old builing. Trough 

the windows they saw a lot of demons. In the middle of al those demons stood something. Gunn couldn’t see it good. 

Angel took a look and saw a wooden box. If he had a beating heart he would had have a stroke. Cordelia saw the shock 

in Angel’s eyes. 

“What is it? Angel, what is it. You’re scarring me!!” Cordelia said to him. 

Angel looked at his friends and said, “They’re trying to get Acathla out!”. Wesley and Cordelia were in shock. Gunn didn’t

 saw the point. 

“So what, we will get them. What’s the big deal?” Gunn said. Angel looked at him. 

“If that demon will be released he will eat the world up and everybody will live in Hell. And I can tell you, you don’t want to

 live in Hell!” he said.

 “How do you know that Angel?” Gunn asked. 

“Because he has been there himself”, Cordelia said. She explained it to Gunn “3 years ago Acathla had been freed. The demon

 who freed him was Angelus. Buffy fought with him. Willow performed a soul returning spell on Angelus. He was Angel again. But

 he had freed Acathla all ready, Buffy had sent him to Hell. But he came back after a couple of months. I thought that the watchers

 council had Acathla, but I guess I was wrong.”  

Angel looked sad when he heard the story. It cost him en Buffy so much pain. Gunn apologize. Wesley looked inside. Acathla was

 still closed. 

“We have to prevent it before it is to late”, Wesley said. 

Angel looked inside. “I see 30 vampires, I should have know. Drusilla is leading the gang. Well, this is the plan. We storm in, you

 try too kill as many vampires as you can. Please be careful. I will try to kill Drusilla before she awakens Acathla.” 

Everybody looked at him and nodded. They counted and stormed in. Drusilla looked surprised when she saw Angel. Everybody

 looked with fear at Angel. He had a reputation were everybody was afraid of.  15 vampires took of and ran as hard as they could.

 Because everybody was so surprised Gunn, Cordelia en Wesley could stake a few vampires. There where 10 vampires over and 

off course there was also Drusilla. Angel didn’t had to do much to dust some vampires. Before he knew it he stood before Drusilla. 

“So Angel here we are again. It’s a pity that you have your soul.” Drusilla said. 

“It’s not going to work Dru, I’m not letting you do it.” He wanted to swing his sword in Dru's direction but a vampire push him on the

 ground. Dru went to Acathla en took the sword out of his body. Cordelia, Gunn and Wesley dusted the last vampire when they saw

 Dru with the sword. Angel stood up and fought with Dru. 

“Does this picture look familiar? 3 years a go you did this with your beloved Buffy. It’s a pity that she isn’t here!” Dru said. She

 shouldn’t had said that last thing, because Angel went mad. Dru couldn’t win. The same way Buffy had sent him to Hell, he sent

 Dru to Hell. Acathla closed again. 

Angel closed his eyes and thought ‘Buffy this one was for you’. Suddenly he felt on his knees. Cordelia, Gunn and Wesley ran to

 Angel. He had so much pain. He lighted up and suddenly he felt a heartbeat. Cordelia thought she was fainting, it was finally

 happening. Angel stood up, Cordelia helt her hand on Angel’s chest. 

“You’re a live! You’re a live!” she said. Angel smiled, but suddenly his smile went away. 

“What’s wrong? Aren’t you happy? You’re finally human!” Wesley said. 

Angel looked at him “Of course I’m happy, but I wish that I was human a couple of months ago. When Buffy was still a live.” 

“I know Angel, but you can go to her grave in the sunlight. That way she will know that you’re a human.” Cordelia said. 

“You’re right, Cor. First thing in the morning I’m going to Sunnydale. I’m going to visit Buffy’s grave and then I’m going to

 visit Giles and the rest.” Angel said to his friends. 

“But hey, I was right about that feeling, it was a good day”, Angel said smiling.

Before Angel went to bed he went to the Oricals. Why should this be different then the last time. He asked them if he had 

still his powers. The Oricals told him that this time it should have been this way. “Angel, this time is right. You will die, 

but only if the time is right.” The woman Orical said. Angel was satisfied in one way or the other.

Early in the morning in Sunnydale.

Buffy is still in bed, thinking about Angel again. Willow tried to call Angel a couple of times yesterday, but nobody answered. 

Willow knocked on Buffy door. Buffy said here friend could come in. 

“Hey Buffy, how are you doing?” Willow asked her. 

“I’m fine. But I wasn’t last night. I lay in my bed and suddenly I hear Angel’s voice saying ‘Buffy this one was for you’. I don’t 

know what is means. Willow, I think Angel is still sleeping I think we have a good change that he is awake around lunch time.”, 

Buffy said to Willow. 

“You’re probably right, will try it again around lunch. What do you want to do today?” Willow asked. 

“I want to go to my grave. I had some issues with being a live again, but I’m over that. I want to close that part. So I want to 

say goodbye to my grave’. Willow looked crazy at Buffy. Buffy laught and trough a pillow in Willow face.

Back in L.A.

Angel had packed almost all his cloths in several suitcases. Cordelia and Wesley wanted to go with him but he wanted to go 

alone. Maybe he could get closer. He put his bags in de car. He said his friends goodbye and promised to call when he was in

 Sunnydale. The roof of the car was down so he could sit in the sun. He drove away, heading for Sunnydale. He didn’t know what

 he was going to find there, but it would be an interesting day.

Angel drove Sunnydale in. Everything looked deferent, but Angel thought that was because it was day and not night. He parked 

his car near the graveyard. He loved the feeling of the sun on his skin. ‘I wished that Buffy was here to see it’ Angel thought. He 

had bought some beautiful flowers to put on Buffy’s grave. He walked to the graveyard and it reminded him of al the times he 

and Buffy had patrolled here. He walked to her grave and read the inscription ‘Buffy Summers 1981 – 2001 beloved sister and

 devoted friend. She save the world…a lot’. It was true. Buffy had saved the world a lot of times. Angel lay the flowers by the

 stone. He said "hello Buffy, yeah you see it right. I’m human. I saved the world yesterday. And the Oricals gave me my life

 back. I wanted that you where here to stand beside me and see me as a human in the sunlight.”

A few blocks farther Buffy walked with Willow. “Buffy isn’t it strange that you are walking to your own grave?” Willow asked her. 

“It isn’t the first time that I do this. Every night when I patrol I walk to my grave.” She said. What she didn’t say was that she

 was always with Spike when she did that. It was a good thing that she broke up with Spike. They were still good friends, but

 they weren’t sleeping with each other anymore. Suddenly Willow held Buffy. 

“What’s wrong”, Buffy asked her. 

“Look, there is a man sitting by your grave” Willow said. 

“Do you know who that is Buffy?” “No, I don’t know”, Buffy answered. 

“But I’m going to find out, wait here!” Buffy said to Willow. 

Angel cried. “Buffy, I’m now going to Giles and later I will come back. I love you”, he said. 

He stood up and walked away from the grave.

“Damn, he is walking away.” Buffy to here self. She stopped walking and went back to Willow. 

“Why don’t you go following him?” Willow asked. “I don’t now. But I get the feeling that I’ll see him again. He knows me right? 

So I’ll ask Giles if anybody has been asking for me. Come, let’s go to Giles!” Buffy said to here red head friend.

Angel took his care and went to Giles his place. He knocked on the door but nobody was home. “That’s right, Giles has a store.” 

Angel said to himself. 

He drove his car to the Magic Shop. He wanted to go trough the back door,  it was an old habit. He pusht the door open and saw 

Giles and Anja. Giles thought that Angel was a customer but when he saw who the person really was, he looked confused. Angel 

explained the hole thing to Giles. When he was finished with his story Giles looked happy. “I’m so happy for you. I can’t believe it! 

\After many years of being a vampire you’re finally human!” Giles said to him. 

“Yeah, I still can’t believe myself. I just have been to Buffy’s grave. I told her that I’m human and that I wished she was still here.” 

“oh my God, He doesn’t know that Buffy is a live.” 

Giles thought suddenly. “You’ve got an amazing store. Angel walked to back of the store. At that moment the front door opens. 

Buffy and Willow walked into the shop. 

“Hey Giles, has  anybody been  asking about me. I saw a man standing by my grave?” Buffy asked. 

Angel thought he was going to collapse it was really Buffy standing before him. Giles looked in horror. Buffy asked what was wrong.

 He pointed in Angel direction. She didn’t saw him, because he was standing in the dark. Angel got the courage to step into the light.

 When Buffy saw him she was also in shock. 

“Angel what are you doing here?” Willow asked him. Buffy walked to him. 

“Oh my God, he is a live!” Buffy said. 

“I thought  that I muss say that, Buffy how is this possible? How can you be a live. I saw them putting you into the ground.” Angel

 said emotionally. 

“Come, then we can talk in private”, Buffy said to him. She took him into the training room.

“How did this happen and why didn’t you say anything to me?” Angel asked. 

“Angel listen. I was dead, but after 117 days they brought me back from the dead. I had some issues to work out and I didn’t wanted

 to live anymore. I called you yesterday because I was ready, but nobody answered the phone. Willow tried a couple of times but you

 weren’t there!” Buffy said. 

“Yes, I wasn’t there because Dru tried to wake Acathla and when I stopped her I became human.” Angel explained. He saw the horror

 in her eyes when he mentioned Acathla. 

“I stopped her Buffy. She is in Hell now and she won’t be send back. When Spike hears this he is going to freak out!” Buffy looked

 away when she heard Spike’s name but quickly she looked back at Angel. 

“You’re a live! I can’t believe it”, she said. Angel took Buffy head in his hands and kissed her. The started slow but it fired up. 

“I love you, I thought I was back in Hell when you died.” Angel said to her. 

She started to cry. “Angel, I have dreamt so many times that you were human and I just can’t believe it”. 

“Buffy I have a question. If you don’t want to answer it, it is okay. Do you have a boyfriend?” Angel looked hopefully to her. “I’m not 

seeing anybody. Yet.” This time she looked hopefully to him. He hold her and looked in her eyes. 

“I love you Buffy, I always loved you.”. Buffy smiled and kissed him. 

Back in the shop Xander walked in. Willow couldn’t get her smil of her face. “Willow, what’s the matter. You’re smilling you’re face off!” 

Xander said.

 “Angel is talking with Buffy. “ 

Willow answerd, “And that’s not all. He’s human. He is a live!”. Xander was is shock. That happened with everybody who heard the 

news. At that moment Buffy and Angel came back from the training room. They were holding hands and looked at each other. 

“You’re back to getter again?” Willow asked. Buffy and Angel looked at each other and smiled again. 

“Yes!! There’s nothing standing in the way between us. The vampire thing is gone and we have a life time waiting for us.” Buffy said 

happily. Willow walked to Buffy  and hugged her. 

“I’m so happy for you. Hey Buffy, do you know the thing about yesterday? You can do that now!” Buffy smiled at Willow and nodded. 

Angel wanted that to know what that was all about. 

“I’ll tell you later.” They talked all afternoon. Angel called to Cordelia and tolled her that everything was all right.

It was getting late. Buffy and Angel went home. Willow said she would be sleeping at Tara’s and Dawn was also sleeping at Tara’s. They

 did that so Buffy and Angel would be together. Buffy and Angel drove home and there they saw Spike walking. Buffy felt her heart beating

 faster. She knew it will be over now if Spike told Angel about them. Angel looked surprised when he saw Spike. They parked the car and 

walked towards Spike. 

“So what are the Poof and you doing?” Spike asked. 

“Angel is human, Spike.” Buffy told him. 

“Angel can I talk to Spike for a moment?” Buffy asked. 

“Sure I’ll wait here” he said. Buffy walked with Spike a little further. 

“Spike, Angel and I are getting back together.” Spike looked down and then looked back at Buffy. 

“I know how much you love him, Buffy. I’m happy for you two. I really am.” 

Buffy smiled at him “Thanks Spike. I’m going to tell Angel about us. I think I will do it tonight.”

 “Yeah, you muss do that. Let me know how it works out, oke?” Buffy nodded. Buffy wanted to walk away but turned and walked 

to Spike. 

“I’ve got to tell you something that you’re not going to like. Angel became human because he stopped Acathla from waking up. Dru 

tried to wake Acathla and Angel had send her to Hell.” Spike was in shock. Buffy felt sorry for him. She hugged him he helt her tight.

Angel was watching this in confusion. Buffy walked away from Spike and went to Angel. He was going to ask her what that was all about,

 but she said “I will tell you when we’re home”.

Inside Buffy’s house

“Buffy what was that all about with Spike?” Angel asked.

 “Angel, take a sit” Angel sat. 

“Let me tell you the hole story and then you can ask me questions”. Angel nodded. 

“Spike has a crush on me. After that I was brought back he was always supporting me. I found comfort in him. Spike and I had something

 together. Riley came back and told me what the hell I was doing. And he was right. A few weeks ago a broke up with him. We’re still good 

friends. I just told him that I’m going back to you and he knew how much I loved you. He was happy for you. I also told him that Dru is in 

Hell. That’s why I hugged him.” Angel looked at her with is mouth open. 

“Did you two had sex together?” Angel asked. Buffy looked down 

“Yes, we had sex together. But the  relationship that we had was build on sex. I didn’t love him!” Angel walked to her. Held her in his arms. 

“Buffy, it’s all right. Where together now and there’s nothing that can come between us.” She smilled and kissed him. 

“Do you want dinner or something else?” Buffy asked. 

“Give me that something else”. They kissed, he held her and walked up the stairs. They walked to her room. He started to undress her 

and she undress him. He lay her on her bed. He kissed her on her belly. Buffy held her hand on his chest, she felt is heart beat. It was 

so amazing feeling his heart beat. 

She looked at him and said “Angel, I can’t believe this is finally happening. I want to stay with you, for the rest of my life.” He held her 

face in his hand and said “I didn’t want anything else in the hole world.”

The next morning.

Buffy lay in Angel’s arm. He saw her laying so peaceful. He wanted to go out of bed, but Buffy woke up. 

“What are you doing?” she asked. 

“I’m going to make you breakfast. Wait here, don’t move. If it takes to long don’t come down stairs. It is a surprise. Okay?” he said 

to her. 

She nodded and gave him a kiss. He putt his pants on and his shirt. He gave Buffy a kiss and went downstairs. The smile on Buffy face 

stayed on her face. She was so happy now.

Angel took his car keys and went out. He went to a jeweller. He went in and searched for a perfect engagement ring. He 

found one and bought it. Angel rushed home and fixed some easy breakfast for Buffy and himself. He went upstairs and 

knocked on Buffy’s door. She smiled, again, when she saw him with the tray. She eat something and then Angel popped

 the question. “Buffy? I have something for you”. She looked surprised. He took the little box out off his pocked. “Buffy? 

Will you marry me?” She looked at him with big eyes. She couldn’t belief it that he really asked her. “

Yes yes!!! Of course will I marry you!” Buffy almost screamed. Angel took her finger and put the ring on it. Buffy cried 

of happiness. She kissed him with a lot of passion.

Later in the afternoon at the Magic Shop.

“I think they will be a great couple!” Anja said. 

“Of course will they be a great couple. They always have been that, but there was always something that ruined that.”

 Xander said. Willow and Tare came in, they just brought Dawn to school. 

“So have anybody heard anything of Buffy or Angel?” Willow asked. 

“No, I think there still in bed” Anja said. Every body looked at her. 

“They probably having sex” Anja said again. Everybody knew that that was true. Suddenly the door went open and 

it were Buffy and Angel. Every one looked surprised. Anja said with her big mouth 

“What are you doing here? Shouldn’t you be in bed?” 

Buffy smiled at her and said “We were, but have something to tell you.” 

“What’s wrong?” Giles asked.

 “Oh, nothing is wrong.” Angel said. 

“We’re getting married!!” Buffy screamed. Everybody was happy for them.

 “Wow, so we have two weddings” Tara said.

 “Yeah, one moment nobody is getting married and the other moment there are two weddings. Isn’t life crazy?”

 Xander said. Buffy and Angel weren’t long in the Magic Shop. They went quick to Buffy bed again. And you can 

guess what they have been doing.

The end
