1/2" SCALE MODEL HOUSE
I began building the model house as a school project, but it quickly became a hobby.  It has taken me over a year and a half to complete (more time than it took to build the actual home itself).

Here's what it's made out of:
Base: 1/4" foam poster board
Foundation: 1/2" x 1/2" Basswood
Floors: 1/4" foam poster board
Walls + Roof Trusses: 1/4" x 1/8" basswood
Windows: Overhead projector transparencies w/ car pinstriping
Siding: 1/2" x 1/32" basswood
Wall and roof sheathing: generic posterboard
Interior railing: toothpicks
Roofing material: 150 grit Norton sandpaper
The real house: A 3500 square foot Northwest contemporary designed by Piercy Barclay Designers in Salem, OR.  My parents had it built by Lanway Homes in 1989.
