Engelbert Humperdinck's Opera, Hansel and Gretel

Our annual holiday tradition is the classic story of Hansel and Gretel with all the excitement, danger and suspense of the Grimm's version.  The original opera score has been re-written, condensed and updated by Morton College Theater for Youth's artistic director Michael-Colin Reed and features gorgeous sets, beautiful costumes and stunning visual effects. This magical holiday treat has been introducing children to the world of opera for almost 100 years and your students are sure to find it an unforgettable experience.

Professor Philo Pheldman's Phantastic Time Machine Saves the entire course of HISTORY!!! (Again.)

He cooked up some crazy weather in his laboratory and now in this brand new production, Philo tackles WORLD HISTORY!  Can Philo and his friends Igor and GoBot go back in time and collect all the precious artifacts he needs to fix his TimeTRON 2000 and save the course of history? Not if his evil little brother Phrankie and his new nemesis Dr. Bush have anything to say about it!

TFY ANNOUNCES AUDITIONS!
Theater for Youth in Oak Park, IL will hold auditions for their annual holiday production of Engelbert Humperdinck's opera HANSEL AND GRETEL.on November12th from 6 - 9 pm

Roles sought are:
Hansel � Mezzo soprano
Gretel - Soprano
Mother � Mezzo soprano
Father - Baritone
Sandman/Dew Fairy - soprano
12 singers with strong movement training to play Goblins, Angels and Children � dancer/singers (sopranos/altos)

All auditioning should prepare 1 song or aria, (a capella) preferably from the score. dancer/singers will also be asked to perform a dance audition. 
All lead roles are paid and include a travel stipend.  Chorus roles offer the travel stipend only.  Call 708-574-8179 to schedule an audition appointment.
