Are you a member of the CFDU Yahoo! Group? Yeah, I started it!

How did you find the CFDU Site? I created it myself :-)

Have you ever met Colin in person? I'm half-way across the world from Colin so unfortunately, no :-(

What was the very Colin Firth film did you see? Can't recall vividly. I think it was in Shakespeare in Love or Circle of Friends.

What was the first thing that made you take notice of Colin? The way he acts, those eyes especially and that intense look he has in his eyes.

Name your Top 5 Colin Films and tell us why:

1. Bridget Jones' Diary - need I explain more? It's that tie, the reindeer sweater, the longing looks towards Bridget and the way he kisses Bridget at the end (claming that nice boys do kiss *that* way). The movie itself wasn't half bad either.

2. The Importance of Being Earnest - might be because it's the most recent Firth Flick I've seen but I really enjoyed this movie. Rupert & Colin together are a great combo and this movie just shows that Colin can pull off a character that doesn't relate to the name 'Darcy'.

3. Pride & Prejudice - this one has to be in the Top 3 - at least! The very first movie that made me 'take notice' of those eyes and intense look in the first place. Loved the sideburns, the breeches and that over-talked-about wet shirt scene. I cannot possibly imagine anyone else in that role. It's Colin's and Colin's alone, pity he cringes at the mention of his performance in P&P.

4. Donovan Quick - a heartwarming movie that I wish can see all over again. Colin's performance in this was exceptional (from what I can remember) and if anything else I very much enjoyed the plot.

5. Blackadder Back and Forth - yes it was a brief Colin moment but that was enough to top off the movie. Not a fan of his hair length in this one but the line "Who's Ken Branagh" makes up for it all :-) (What can I say, small things amuse me).

Which character of Colin's do you admire/love the most? I admire all of Colin's characters (all except the villainous ones that is) but to pick a couple, it would have to be Donovan Quick (for the whole bus endeavour) and also Mark Darcy (for being himself and for loving Bridget 'as she is').

Which character of Colin's do you dislike the most? From what everyone else has been saying I think it'll have to be Simon from Circle of Friends :-)

Who do you think is Colin's best on-screen partner? I'm a Renee Zellweger fan so it would have to be Bridget. Elizabeth Bennett comes a very close second just coz she's good ol' Lizzie.

If you could be one of Colin's on-screen partner, which character would you choose? Elizabeth Bennett only so that I can prance around in those glorious dresses and have glorious hair (always done nicely). OR Bridget Jones just so I can ran after Colin in the freezing snow and have him kiss me in the middle of the road and wrap his jacket around me. ::sigh:: ::drool:: ::sigh::

Name your favourite Colin scene in a movie. (There may be several so feel free to tell them all). The pond scene from P&P (that's a given right?). Pretty much all the 'moments' in TIOBE and BJD, in particular the hilarious bit when Rupert and Colin are eating those muffins and when Mark Darcy turns up at Bridget's door (near the end) and they pretty much get it on. From that scene forward are my favourite moments.

Name your least favourite Colin scene from a movie. (If you can find one). His cunning ways in Circle of Friends.

What are your thoughts on Colin's portrayal of Mr. Darcy in "Pride and Prejudice"? Like I said, I cannot imagine another actor pulling that character off as much as Colin did. Yes he was arrogant, but that was *him* that was who he was (or as Jane Austen wanted him). If anything Mr. Darcy back then is your Mr. Average Guy these days - arrogant at times, but can turn your knees to jelly other times.

Which of Colin's movies would you most like to see a sequel to? I really would be interested to see a sequel to Donovan Quick (but I know it'll never happen). Alternatively, being a modern gal I would like to see the sequel to BJD made, that too is a given.

What role would you most like to see Colin play? (eg. remake of a classic film, a fictional character from a book) I can't think of one in particular but I know what I *don't* want him to play and that is such movies as: Star Wars (although I'm a Star Wars fan), Shallow Hal (he deserves to be in comedies with depth) or do voice-overs for cartoons such as South Park. I'm not picky much am I?

Would you like to see Colin as the next James Bond? Not really.....James Bond is too womanising and got too much sex appeal (or at least oozes it way too much). I prefer Colin to play characters that have sex appeal but the type that makes you imagine it. Does that make any sense? But Colin in a suit would be rather nice.....so my final answer would be: maybe.

Do you prefer Colin as the hero or the villian? A hero. I'm a sucker for happy endings and I prefer to see Colin saving the day rather than ruining it.

If they made a remake of "An Affair to Remember" with Colin in the Cary Grant role, which actress would you like to see in the Deborah Kerr role? I would pick either: Renee Zellweger (she's already got the chemistry with Colin but I'm not sure whether she's *perfect* for it), Cate Blanchett (I'm stealing this from everyone else and Cate's a fantastic actress but I'm not sure whether she suits Colin on-screen) or Kate Winslet (your typical English Rose would suit well with Colin - I can see that happening).

If you had the chance to ask Colin ONE question, what would you ask him? I have no idea! I'm not clever enough to stimulate the mind of Mr. Firth (and from what I've read he's a real intellect that would most probably intimidate me). If I could think of the perfect question it probably wouldn't relate to anything that he's done, but rather his private thoughts on life maybe, something deep like that. But exactly what that question is escapes me at the moment.

Describe your favourite Colin Firth Fantasy. It involves Colin and I living blissfully in a tropical island somewhere in the Maldives without any care in the world. We would never need to go to the mainland (except to attend glitzy BAFTA, Oscar functions where Colin is acknowledged for his acting prowess). We'd spend our days sitting by the beach reading literary works and afterwards have deep and meaningful discussions about life, love and rock n' roll. As you can see, I haven't thought about it that much :-)
