Are you a member of the CFDU Yahoo! Group? I wouldn't be filling out this otherwise, now would I?

How did you find the CFDU Site? The power of search engines

Have you ever met Colin in person? Nope

What was the very first Colin Firth film did you see? I can't remember if I saw The English Patient or Shakespeare in Love first, but one of those two.

What was the first thing that made you take notice of Colin? His  appearances in Blackadder, strangely enough. Then I saw BJD and.. yeah.

Name your Top 5 Colin Films and tell us why:

1. Bridget Jones's Diary. Charming, funny, sweet, sexy, punching Hugh Grant... all good.

2. Pride and Prejudice. Those gazes. Mmmm. And of course, the diving-into-the-lake. Mmm-mmm.

3. Shakespeare in Love. Okay, so he's the villian but still. I like the movie and he does his part very well

4. The Importance of Being Ernest. I adore Wilde and it's not a bad adaptation. Colin does it very well and Judi Dench is a hoot.

5. Blackadder: Back and Forth. Brief, but funny.

Which character of Colin's do you admire/love the most? Either Darcy, I guess. They are essenitally at heart the same - I guess I'd go with Mark since he would know how to fix the VCR (probably)

Which character of Colin's do you dislike the most? His role in 'Conspiracy'. Nasty. Of course, I'm a Norwegian and the Nazis invaded our country, so it's a cultural thing. He played well, though.

Who do you think is Colin's best on-screen partner? Judi Dench - not as romantic interest, but their 'interview' was hillarious in TIOBE. Romatically - Renee Zellweger, because she has Norwegian blood in her and I liked her Bridget.

If you could be one of Colin's on-screen partner, which character would you choose?  Probably Bridget for all the obvious and very naughty reasons

Name your favourite Colin scene in a movie. (There may be several so feel free to tell them all).  Obviously, the end scene in BJD, but also the blue soup scene just for the way he gazes at Bridget. It's breathtaking. And I think I already mentioned the lake-diving thing in P&P.

Name your least favourite Colin scene from a movie. (If you can find one).  I don't know if I have any, actually. He seems to do pretty well even when the movies aren't great. Or maybeI'm just too busy drooling to pay proper attention.

What are your thoughts on Colin's portrayal of Mr. Darcy in "Pride and Prejudice"? Having read the book,  then finding out he played Mr. Darcy, I was  a bit sceptic. But he does it very well, very subtly and every time I see it, I notice something new in his performance. He makes the role his own and now he is Mr. Darcy when I read the book.

Which of Colin's movies would you most like to see a sequel to? BJD, as it has a sequel written with lots of potential for good Colin scenes.

What role would you most like to see Colin play? (eg. remake of a classic film, a fictional character from a book) There's this wonderful little book called 'A Little Lovesong' that I have always loved - he's probably too old to play Alec, but he could probably be a wonderful Matthew (the character that loves him mentions his eyes and gaze as being what attracted her to him)

Would you like to see Colin as the next James Bond? Hmmm. While it might be good, I think his acting strengths lie elsewhere. But I might be wrong.

Do you prefer Colin as the hero or the villian? Hero is of course nice, but I have a weak spot for bad boys.

If they made a remake of "An Affair to Remember" with Colin in the Cary Grant role, which actress would you like to see in the Deborah Kerr role?  The only one I can think of is Cate Blanchett right now - she could pull it off.

If you had the chance to ask Colin ONE question, what would you ask him? 'Could I have your children?' - seriously, I'd probably snap into journalism mode and ask him what his next project was. Then I'd get my friend who'd be a famous director by then to direct it and hire me as writer/producer.

Describe your favourite Colin Firth Fantasy. I think I will have to pass on that due to danger over over-exciting myself (and possibly others). I just recovered from a hangover, I'm enough of a mess without drooling all over myself as well.
