There are many 'Ships in the world of Fanfiction. Or rather, Relationships. Hernce the ship. And many of these involve h/hr. (Clueless? Click here) Now, don't get me wrong. There is nothing bad about h/h. Cassandra Claire writes it very well. But too many BAD authors use it. Try something original...like Harry and Pansy. (Wait-I've already done it!) If you're into Slash, then Harry/Neville might be a good region to explore if you have experience. Wait, wait. You not only PUT UP with slash, but you ENCOURAGE it? Damn right. I am in love with d/h, and almost died with joy when I found out that Hermione went from 'h' to 'hr' because upset readers were getting angry at a suspected draco/hermione story that was really draco/harry. Another popular ship is h/g. Let me give you a word of advice; Unless your name happens to be J.K. Rowling, DON'T do it! Almost everyone hates this (there are some exceptions) and you're almost certain to get bad reviews if you post this kind of story. One more thing-people are more open to unlikely ships than you might think. So what if Pansy and Neville might not go well together at first? They can bond over the feeling of liking someone, but never letting them know. It's your choice-in the fanfic world, ANYTHING goes! |
