Hell, I even WRITE about gay people. And some of the best fanfiction is about gay people. It's called slash. There is a site called "The Best HP Fanfiction" (thebesthpfanfic.com). The owner is Eliza. She hosts fanfiction which she judges as 'the best'. But read here, under her guidelines for submission (angelfire.com/realm/wyrren/thebestHPfanfic/Submission.html) 2. I will not accept slash (homosexual relations in a story). Now, Eliza, I know I was one of the first people to support your site online. I even made the counter roll from 0 to 1. But who are you to judge if a story is good or bad depending on gay relationships? Gay people are in this world if you like it or not, and by putting that up there, you run the risk of offending many people. Yes, your site may be a 'kiddie' site, but the fact is, homosexuals are as much a fact of life as scraped knees. |
