At time of going to print Christopher is 5.5 weeks old and is a wee smasher. He has been putting on weight like billy-oh, averaging just under 10oz a week and is now 10lb 14oz. This is some 3lb heavier than when he arrived. Its safe to say he likes his food!
He is already much more responsive and alert when awake and his little smiles are just amazing. He even does little gurgles when spoken to as if he is trying to 'talk' back. Of course he has perfected his cry - no need for a house alarm now.
Sleeping is still a bit up and down - he seems to be going though a growth spurt just now that is apparently common between weeks 5&6. This means he is constantly wanting some grub and is up every hour or so. However, a flash of his little smile makes it all worthwhile. |
