After a uncomplicated labour of c.12hrs Claudia gave birth to Christopher James at the Queen Mother's Hospital in Glasgow at 5.10am on the morning of Saturday 14 August 2004. He weighed in at a healthy 7lb 15oz.
He arrived on the same date on which Claudia's Grandfather James Clark was born and died. He is also named after Colin's grandfathers who were both called James.
Both Mum and Baby are well, with Christopher already showing signs of his father's appetite and feeding well naturally. He has been generally very placid so far - a sign of things to come we hope (Pleeease!!). We expect to leave the hospital on Tuesday perhaps.
