The Story So Far...well it all started for Colin in 96 when he purchased his first set of turntables and just a handful of vinyl..he was playing the sort of tunes that have turned into todays club classics. He just had a buzz of copying the weekend soundtrack and sharing it with friends and fellow djs who at the same time were passing their tips on mixing and music styles etc.
Colin continued this for a few years and then recieved the chance to play on a local pirate radio station called Mix Fm which was an all out dance music station.Colin comments on his first show...
"I remember it being about 7am on a Sunday morning! At the time the station had no other shows available..i was shitting myself!..having to talk on the mic and i really wanted the show to sound good,to be honest the nerves probably got the better of me in the first couple of shows but after a while i got a bit more confident and i really enjoyed it!"
Colin was then given a prime-time slot on Mix Fm after impressing the producers in just a few weeks. It was the 7-9pm show on a Friday evening that he was handed and it wasnt long before more people were hearing Colin and it was only a matter of time till his first Club gig came in..
Colins first Club gig came in at Ultimate Freedom in 99 which took place at what we now know as Hidden in Birmngham. Colin remembers it well..
"I think every dj will always remember the first club they play at..it was really special, great crowd and atmosphere and it was rockin in there that night."
He was offered a monthly residencey and continued to please the crowds there whenever he played.
It was in 2000 that Colin really started to get a lot more established..still continuing his weekly Mix FM show that had now moved to a Sunday afternoon from 3-5pm and he was spinnin tunes at clubs such as the Hush and The Sanctuary in Birmingham.
In 2001 Colin finished his Mix Fm show to concentrate more on the Clubs and he pushed himself passing demos onto various promoters/djs to gain more gigs.
So that brings us to 2002 which has been Colins most sucsessful year. His blend of funky house..old and new is rocking dancefloors across Birmingham, He now has monthly residencies for Clique @ Hidden , Phuture Phunk @ Gods Kitchen , The Breakfast Klub @ Kudos and has also spun at Stoodi Bakers ,Sleep, Dropzone , Polysexual , 4th Dimension , Fluffy , BPM Radio , Arca and The Nightingale aswell as 2 guest mixes on 96.4 BRMB Dancemasters.
Colin talks about the clubs he now plays at and more on his music style..
"I love the clubs i play at now..Birmingham is massive for funky and uplifting house and the crowds always seem to enjoy when i play..Clique is always really cool to spin at and The Breakfast Klub is quality..i like to play funky bassline house,..its a mix of old and new together"..!!

So then...thats the Story So Far....
