Hi, thanks for visiting my home page ...First a quick run-down on my bits 'n' pieces & what me & 'ScanArt' are all about... then on to the pics. I hope you enjoy it all & it inspires you to do interesting & imaginative things with your scanner!
I have won awards in England & New Zealand for my various artworks in mixed media & ceramics & have sold well over 300 works internationally including oil paintings & water colours. I have now broadened my horizons to computers & invented 'ScanArt'. (At least I think I've invented it!)
I'm a keen gardener & wanted to capture the textures, shapes, colour & beauty of the plants & flowers etc. I see every day in my garden and the surrounding countryside. So, not being able to afford to take up photography, I decided to bring the outside in.......to my scanner! 'ScanArt' was one way I could capture the essence of nature & by using a digital process bring out glowing colours & textures perhaps not previously exposed by photo lens or artists brush!
My innovative methods involve using a scanner as the canvas. Materials are arranged on the scanner (No mean feat I assure you as you have to imagine the picure from the back) & then scanned into & enhanced in Adobe Photoshop or Corel.
