I think one of Man's greatest achievements was landing on the moon...and getting back home again...Don't you ?
"One small step for man....one giant leap for mankind"
Click
here to listen to these famous words with an unusual twist .
A TV image of Commander Neil Armstrong about to take Man's first step on the Moon . Do you remember the date ? Yes... it was the 20th July 1969 .
And 15 minutes later it was Edwin "Buzz" Aldrin's turn
And while all this was going on , Michael Collins was fiddling with knobs and dials in the Command Module ....going round and around in orbit above their heads .
Buzz does the biz
If you look closely at Buzz's visor you will see a reflection of the Lunar Module and Neil Armstrong .
Patriotism at its best
Thing was that they had a lot of trouble keeping the flag upright and it fell over after the Lunar Module took off .
Aaaaaahhhhh....home sweet home !!!
Wouldn't quite be the same would it ?? ........I mean saying "C'mon darlin' , lets go for a walk and look at the Earth".
Now....How do we get this sucker up there ??
