Taking Turns

Graham Christopher Coleman was born 10:00 p.m., Friday, July 23, 1999 to Thomas Coleman and the late Cathy Coleman at Thibodaux Regional Medical Center in Thibodaux, Louisiana. He weighed 3 lbs 2.6 oz. at birth, and is welcomed home by his sister, Haley, and brothers Theo and Spencer.
Graham was airlifted to Women's Hospital in Baton Rouge and remained in the neonatal intensive care unit. The ventilator was removed after five days, and oxygen removed seven days later. A few days after that he was back-transferred to Thibodaux Regional for "feeding and growing." He was released from the hospital on August 24 weighing over 4 lbs.
At his two-month checkup Graham weighed in at six pounds 12 ounces and was consuming formula at the alarming rate of 4 oz every two or three hours. His health is exceptional but he remains on an apnea monitor for the next few months.
He and Dad are getting their schedules in sync, but it appears Graham will be a copy editor since he sincerely seems to enjoy evening shift.
