| Born in the slave cells of the Dictator's dungeons Teppilti was moved at a young age to the gnome enclave near the Metropolis. There she was taught of the gnome God Garl Glittergold and although she was forced to swear alligence to the evil Dictator she never lost in her heart the hope that one day Garl Glittergold would aid her people against the Dark God. Her ardent faith was rewarded by the Sly Glittergold in the form of the blessings of Paladinhood although Teppilti had no formal training. Soon after the granting of these favors a measure of freedom was given over to the slaves of the Dictator. The slaves were given a mark to bear and then they were allowed to wander freely and bear arms. Teppilti took up the traditional arms of the knightly Paladin but found the heavy armor and close combat not very suitable for her small stature and feminin arms. She sought out the gnome enclave once again and there found teachings in the arts of sorcerry which all gnomes have a natrual talent for. Teppilti returned to the Matroplois to seek the aid of good people to help her defeat a dire threat to her people, an Imp of tremndous power. Alas she was not able to find anyone willing to help her so she tried to slay the creature alone. She barely escaped with ther life! Disheartened she sought experience as an adventuerer. There she met Kari "The Slave Girl" who was the leader of a Sisterhood of female adventuerer called "The Coven". Teppiliti joined this band and promply found herself thrown in jail by the villiage tax collector becuase Kari would not pay her dues in the city square. They eventually escaped and Kari disapeared. Teppiliti has not seen her since. The next day Teppilti was in the market square selling hides when she met the aquaitence of a monk named Fine. The monk was exploring an abandoned farmhouse that was said to be haunted. When Teppilti introduced herself as a Paladin Fine beseached her to join him and his rogue friend Jankel. She agreed and they explored the farmhouse together. The ghost, turned out to be a specter of dangerous power. A creature which had raised an army of kobold and bugbear zombies to do it's bidding. The battle was intence, Jankel falling to the foul spirit but Teppilti and Fine were able to escape with not a small amount of treasure to thier credit. |
