COURSE DESCRIPTION

This course will have a communicative approach.  The four competitions for the proficiency of a language will be developed:  understanding listening, oral, and written production.    The activities correspond to concrete objectives:  to observe, to discover to reflect, to create, to develop critical thinking.  Also, the approach to the French language will not be only made in the communicative and linguistic order, but also in the cultural and civilization order.

 

MAJOR GOALS/CONCEPTS

ü       To understand the nature and operation of the French language. 

ü                               To demonstrate competition when using different informative sources including the ones from technical nature, to carry out specific work.

ü                               To demonstrate competition in the general abilities of the writing process as well as in the strategies of this process. 

ü                               To demonstrate competition when speaking and listening as a mechanism for the learning process.
