Now many of you might be reading this and wondering how on earth can a 16 year old punk speak so matter-of-factly on a subject like this. And to answer your thoughts with just one word... Faith. Everyone has faith in something. Little kids have faith in their parents. Adults may have faith in their jobs or employees. And anyone who has a close friend has faith in them to keep their secrets. So what's the difference in having faith in God? The only differences I can think of is that God won't hurt you, helps you up when you fall, won't lie to you, He forgives you repeatedly... even when you don't deserve it, and He loves you unconditionally. So why is this decision so hard?
For me, the decision is daily. Am I going to choose to be Christ-like or not? The question may be easy to answer, but it sure is hard to follow. Sure I'll be nice today, and then something happens to destroy your day... Are you still being Christ-like after that negative thing happens? I know it's a struggle for me. I just want to be left alone... But see, that's why Jesus died for our sins. So we can ask forgiveness... Over and over again. All you have to do is humble yourself before God, ask forgiveness, and turn from the things you struggle with. It's that simple. So why, I ask again, is the decision so hard?
I've heard a bunch of people say, "Well, I can't see God, so how do I know He's real?" It all goes back to the word Faith. How can you look outside, and NOT know God is real? He took time to make every little thing... Even the "simple" things we take for granted, and don't notice. You may say, "Well, I still can't see Him." My response is simply going to be, "You don't see the wind, yet you know it's there." Yeah, you feel the effects of the wind... And you also feel the effects of God. You just CHOOSE not to believe them... But He's still here... Waiting on you to come to Him. And He always will be. The choice is yours. He has already sent His SON to die for you...
