Cold Creek Cloggers History

The Cold Creek Cloggers are a group of fun loving dancers based in Trenton Ontario Canada. Formed late in the summer of 2001, the club is comprised of dancers from all over Ontario ranging from Burlington and Ajax to Trenton and Tweed! We opened for lessons on Friday September 7th 2001.

The Cold Creek Cloggers came into existence after a fun filled summer of open invitation clogging in Brighton hosted by Rundle Farms, and facilitated by Rob Middleton of Stockdale. The open invitation clogging project was to involve all cloggers in the area to join together and enjoy the art of clogging. As the weeks went on, the group of approximately 11 dancers named itself the "Rundle's Parking Lot Cloggers".

Long time clogging instructor Brian Bueler came on board. By the end of the summer before the "Rundle's Parking Lot Cloggers" had to end their outdoor dancing for the season, the group decided to forge ahead and build a new year round club based in Batawa Ontario. The Cold Creek Cloggers were welcomed with open arms by the Quinte West Lions Club in Batawa and were offered use of their hall basement on Friday evenings.

And so, just as the summer came to a close, Rob Middleton's Parking Lot Cloggers became the Cold Creek Cloggers under the direction and instruction of Brian Bueler. Guest instructors included Laura Middleton, Amy Black, and Rob Middleton.

In early 2003, the club relocated to the Masonic Temple in Frankford Ontario, and once more to Trenton. Our present location at the King Street United Church on the corner of Kings Street and Queen Street.

The club is approximately 30 strong with all ages dancing!

September 2006 saw Founders Rob Middleton and Amy Black form "The Skyway Cloggers" in Burlington Ontario, though they still visit when they can.

In October of 2006, the club moved from King Street United Church, to Trenton Baptist Church at 15 South St. Trenton Ontario, K8V 2N5.
