Dreamer
The night courses through my veins
Like a burning poison
This dark toxin brings with it
An ethereal life
Power and thirst
It brings into me a beast
Which cannot be tamed.
I soar
Above the city's light
Basking in the sensation
That I am a god
One that flies above souls
Lost in live of misery
Locked in a world
A world of iron and glass
They know not the freedom of air
What it is to drink
The night
And sail through heavens.
Free from death
From pain
The only thing I feel
Power to command shadows
The ecstasy of divine control.
But the feelings last
As long as the darkness
The dawn carries
The mortality that binds
The humanity
And I wake
Not knowing
The feeling of flight.
