Micah met guitarist Tony Gonzalez at a job they shared, the call center - Tony Hoffman Productions, and jammed with him when Micah was between A Lifeless Perfect and Farewell. When Farewell brokeup Micah Joined Tony permanently with other would be bass players before Greg Austin ("Greggy" as Micah calls him) Joined the band. Micah and Tony came up with the name "Cold Red Moon" after searching for a name for well over a week. It was found after they were listing to a Rancid song called "Red Hot Moon". The band thought it was a cool idea for a name but it sounded too much like Red Hot Chili Peppers, thus changed it Cold Red Moon. Micah is the metal member of the band, ie.(Death, Malevolent Creation, Mayhem) but also has alternative and hard rock, ie.( Guns n' Roses, Goo Goo Dolls) not to mention pop influences, ie.(The Cure and Cher), as well as House and Trance.
Micha's drummer influences include: Gene Hogan, Peter Criss, Tony Laureano, Eban Kilbourne, Stewart Copeland, Derik Roddy, Chad Sexton, Giuseppe Orlando, Richard Christy, Donald Tardy, Sean Reinert, Mick Fleetwood, Hellhammer, Paul Rudd, Nick Menza, Dave Lombardo, Eric Carr, and Ole Ohman, just to name a few.
