I am starting a database of  drug slang, and the drugs themselves, in a dictionary format. The purpose of this is partially to pass the time, and partially because I think some people might find it useful, from kids who overhear stuff at parties to drug counselors. I remember asking kids at school what "whip-its" were,  and what a "freeze" was, and it would have been nice to have a place to look such things up and have them defined without the sneer of authority dripping from them ("this heinous and addictive substance etc.")

I have a medical degree and have done my fair share of substances, so this isn't coming from a completely outside perspective.

I have no intention of going into depth on, say, cocaine addiction because that has been done to death. This is purely intended as reference for the masses.

What I need from the general public is submissions of modern drug slang from odd corners of the world. Even your mom probably knows what a speedball is. What I need to know about is regional, weird slang (e.g. "stress" in LA means shitty pot).

Please limit submissions to things that are in usage by more than you and your best friend. If your whole senior class uses it, then it's good. Include a definition, a sample usage (e.g. we booted skag all that night.....)
and the region and time you heard it in.

In the future I will try to make this website worth visiting for the sake of visiting, but I'm new at this so I can only promise lame amateur clip art at the moment.

Please email submissions to me. As a reward, I will send you back one funny piece of drug lingo to add to your vocab. That's all I can offer at this point.
