Friday: Uncle Free's Special Page Update
You can add to this one too.

NEXT UPDATE depends on all of us - look down the page.

Hi Guys:

I have checked under each name on the top of our web site and there was not one name there that did not have at least one little e-mail symbol under it, There must be more of you with digital cameras or scanners that we could get pictures.

It has been years since I saw pictures of Jim, Tony and Herb Penney, and all of Aunt Margs family, and it sure was nice to put fresh faces to the names, and to see the old pictures too.

Most of the Roddickton Colbournes I have never seen, and I want to see more of the people on that list.

Cory, I know you are checking the web site regularly and I do know that you have a very beautiful nephew. Bring on the pictures.

I am just itching to see all of Uncle Free's families and to read what some of them write about their memories and ideas.

Marie, I am sure you must have pictures of Aunt Hester and maybe your grand children.

If anyone has anything that they would like to contribute, but don't have a way to get it on the Internet, Please pass it on to someone, I am sure if it passes enough people it will make its way to someone with e-mail or a stamp to the address listed on the web page.

Comments and ideas and pictures should come from all of us, It is not fair that we all get spoon fed by Sherlock.

It would be nice to know how everyone grew up, Not just a few of us. I know that the younger Colbournes & Greens have some interesting stories to tell, Right Reg? We won't judge your writing like a teacher, but measure it by the number of smiles on our faces, lumps in our throats, or tears in our eyes.

We have a wonderful thing happening here and let's not let it die because you think that your comments and pictures are not worthy or interesting.

My intention was not to offend anyone just to encourage everyone to help out a little.

Dale

TALK is CHEEP

Because of my limited energy levels and current transportation problems, I will be unable to be on the go collecting information for the next month or so. I am still available to add information collected by other contributors, and I think it is about time that everyone look at this as a collective effort, and not just sit back and say, "what did He or THEY do for ME, ME, ME this week?"

Our past contributors have shown what the standards are, and what we will present on the site as we get ready for the reunion.

I am totally impressed with Uncle Andrew's family and their page. Aunt Mary Gilley's page is a credit to her and her family. Aunt Margaret Patey's family has produced a lovely page which is about to get even better. Aunt Olive's page has improved so much, thanks to Mervin, but it needs more photos. Uncle Albert James and Uncle Harold are represented by my work, and I need to do my father's page in greater detail. I would like to be able to make a page for Uncle Ambrose Green jr and make him the part of our families that he really could have been. Uncle Tom's page is barely off to a start. Uncle Free's page is starting to roll. Other pages which are sad and needing a lot of work are Effie's, Ann's and Samuel's.

We need more than CHEEP, CHEEP, CHEEP.

I am continuing to check out family tree links which take us back to England, and I hope to establish our British heritage as well as to fill in the blanks in our Newfoundland and Labrador ancestors.
