Roya clasped her newly-acquired keys in her fist and excitedly clattered her way to her brand-new Audi. Beauty. Her bangles jangled at her wrists as she struggled to open the lock. She fumbled with the keys, too excited to see what she was doing. The door finally unlocked with a muffled click. Exuberated, she clutched the handle with her painted talons of fingernails. Her hair hung mussed, down her shoulders, fluttering in the hot summer breeze- as she spotted a blue Chrysler Neon turning down the street. She hurriedly slunk down to the driver's seat, pulled the door shut and fumbled with the keys yet again. They found their home as the sound of the car revving up filled the neighbourhood. It growled with the impatience of a lone wildcat. Pushing the gear into reverse, she jammed her foot down on the accelerator, slinging her arm around the passenger's seat as she twisted her head round to see the Neon. It rolled down the street lazily, as the driver stuck his head out the window to see whose new baby blocked his way. Adjusting her rear-view mirror, she winked at her reflection and popped a bubble. She looked at Chris. Haircut, huh? Well, this girl was about to give him a run for his money. She flicked her jewelled hand out the side, identifying herself. A look of recognition dawned on Chris' face. He revved his engine up. What made this chick think she had something? Roya started off at an easy pace, making a round of the hood as Chris pulled up beside the Audi at an equal pace. He tipped his shades to her as she gave a toss of the head.
