Consta de un campo inglés o anglesado medio partido y cortado. El cuartel diestro del Jefe presenta la reproducción de la imagen de Nuestra Señora del Rosario de la Chiquinquirá según establece la tradición correspondiente. El cuartel siniestro del Jefe, en Gules (rojo) trae un pergamino de plata que carga la inscripción “SCIENCIARUM DOMINA” (“Dominio de la Ciencia”) en letras románicas capitales de oro bronchante (sobrepuesto) a un Espada y una Lanza de Sable (negro) cruzadas en aspa. El cuartel de la punta en Celeste, carga un paisaje natural en el que predomina una serranía de Plata y Azur (azul) acompañada de nubes y  terrazada (sobre un terraplén) de Sínople (verde). Como Ornamentos Exteriores, el Escudo de Armas queda inserto en un cartucho de oro del que pende un listel de Azur que trae como divisas las siguientes inscripciones en letras románicas capitales de oro: “TINACO” , a la diestra; “EDO. COJEDES”, a la siniestra y “1.680 - 1.752 - 1.781” bajo la punta.

La imagen de Nuestra Señora del Rosario de la Chiquinquirá de Tinaco que enriquece el primer cuartel, símboliza la pureza espiritual de Tinaco cuya fé y esperanzas están inspiradas en los sagrados principios de la religión católica. El segundo cuartel, en Gules para recordar el Coraje y el Valor de los moradores de la región, muestra un pergamino para simbolizar la entrega de los nacidos en Tinaco al conocimiento de la ciencia y su preponderancia hacia las letras y la cultura en general; por una parte y por la otra la espada y la lanza cruzadas representan la participación de ilustres Tinaqueros en la gesta emancipadora de América y se mantienen en señal de alerta para aquellos que pretendan estrangular la libertad de los pueblos indefensos. El tercer cuartel, en celeste para simbolizar los Altos Ideales, exalta un trozo de sabana que nos recuerda el llano Cojedeño y su prodigiosa fertilidad para la Agricultura y la Cría; al fondo, se yergue el Cerro Tiramuto, majestuoso hito geográfico de la localidad, como expresión determinante de la recia voluntad de Tinaco y sus hijos por conquistar el progreso económico, social y cultural de la región. El cartucho de oro, oficialmente descrito con su equivalente italiano “cartiglio”, rememora la luz del hermoso sol del llano cojedeño y sus caprichosas formas. Los listeles recuerdan el nombre del Municipio, el estado venezolano al que pertenece y sus efemérides más importantes.

Fue creado mediante el Acuerdo de la Municipalidad de Tinaco el 25 de Julio de 1973.

The dexter chief quarter presents the reproduction of the image of Our Lady of the Rosary of the Chiquinquirá according to establishes the corresponding tradition. The sinister chief quarter, in Gules (red) charges a silver parchment that loads the inscription SCIENCIARUM DOMINA (Dominion of the Science) in golden capital roman letters all supperposed to a Sword and a Lance in Sable (black) crossed in saltire. The base quarter in Sky Blue, loads a natural landscape in which predominates a mountainous area in Argent  and Azur (blue) accompanied by clouds and landed on Vert (green). As Ornaments, the Coat of Arms are inserted in a gold cartridge with an Azur pennant that bear like mottoes the following inscriptions in golden capital roman letters: TINACO, to the dexter; EDO. COJEDES., to the sinister and 1.680 – 1.752 – 1.781, under the base.

The image of Our Lady of the Rosary of the Chiquinquirá of Tinaco that enriches the first quarter, symbolizes the spiritual purity of Tinaco whose faith and hopes are inspired by the sacred principles of the catholic religion. The second quarter, in Gules for remember the Courage and the Valor of the inhabitants of the region, shows a parchment for symbolize the delivery of been born in Tinaco to the knowledge of science and its inclination towards the letters and culture in general; on the one hand and by the other the crossed sword and the lance represent the illustrious participation of Tinaquerians in the independence of South America and too that they stay in alert for combat anyone who pretends strangle the freedom of the defenseless peoples. The third quarter, in Sky Blue for symbolize the High Ideals, shows a savannah portion that remembers the Cojedenian “llano” (plane lands) and its prodigious fertility for Agriculture and Cattle; to the bottom, is raises the Tiramuto Hill, majestic geographic landmark of the locality, like determining expression of the strong will of Tinaco and its sons and daughters for conquer the economic, social and cultural progress of the region. The gold cartridge, officially described with its equivalent Italian word “cartiglio”, recalls the light of the beautiful sun of Cojedenian plane land and its capricious forms. Pennant remembers the name of the Municipality, the Venezuelan state to which belongs and its more important ephemeris.

This Coat of Arms was created by Agreement of the Tinaco’s Municipality Council on July 25th, 1973.
