MONUMENT IN MONROE, VERMONT

The May 2001 issue of the Newsletter described a monument in Pittsford VT, honoring Moses Olmsted and Joseph Olmsted. Subscriber Natalie N. Baer sent me a picture of another monument, in Monroe, VT, honoring her ancestors, Israel Olmstead and Timothy Olmstead. Their services in the Revolutionary War are also described in the May 2001 issue, and well as Israel’s French and Indian War service.
