If you are here I assume that you are interested in joining our SG, I am very glad to hear it. We are a fairly active SG with a base that is coming along nicely. We have a medical facility and teleporters to 12 zones currently. We also have several coalition Super Groups. These coalitions have many benefits that will come into play later if we are involved in base raids. Also, in case you did not know, there is a coalition channel (like the local, broadcast, or team channels) that allows us to chat with all members at the same time.

First off ANYONE can join. No requirements, other than wanting to have fun with us, just join and play. But if you want to get any promotions within the Super Group you have to make a costume or have a name fitting our scheme. Ideally both. Below gives more detail to the name and costume aspects of the SG.

Ok, enough of my rambling, you want to know what is needed to join. Well this SG is based on the Borg from Star Trek, so the look is the important thing. Each member must look like a borg. I know every one has there own opinion, so our leader has final ok with each members look. There are no restrictions on powersets, archtypes or origins. And only one of your costumes must adhere to the standard, any other slots are yours to play with. And no capes or auras on your main borg costume please. We do ask that when working with other members of the SG, stay in borg costume.

Now, there are two way to make a borg. One is to take a toon that you already have and go to the tailor and rework one of your costumes. This will mean not having to make a new character. But it will limit how high of rank you can obtain in the SG. The ranks of the SG are as follows.

PRIME ... our leader, 42 of 317
ADJUNCT ... can do most everything the leader can within the SG
ASSIMILATOR ... can add new members
ADVANCED DRONE ... main group of members
DRONE ... for newly assimilated toons
When you take a toon you already have and remake your costume to join, you start at the rank of drone. And the highest you can get is advanced drone. The other option is to make a new character from scratch. If you do this, and also name the toon using proper nomenclature, you will start as an advanced drone and can be promoted higher. By proper naming I mean you name should be something of 317 (like 42 of 317, or 199 of 317). Obviously there are only 317 names this way, as of yet we have only used about 35 so many more are still open. If we ever use them all up I will address the issue then, as I really doubt it will happen.

So, you say you have never watched Star Trek and have no idea what a Borg is... Ok, here are a few screenshots that might help to get an idea what your toon should look like. You can look at the screenshots on the pics page, but most of them are borg in SG colors. When you make your costume the colors for it should be picked from the top row of colors. The primary color should be one of the two on the left and secondary color can be chosen from the right half of the row. White skin, no hair. After the pictures I will list some more do's and dont's.

It is hard for me to list all the things that are good choices, or all that are bad, but I will do what I can. Any questions, please e-mail me I would be glad to help. I guess it is best to start at the top... so head first. As I said above no hair, and white skin. You can put circuitry on your head if you like (most have) or leave it blank. For detail 1 single monacle, reticle or none. And detail 2 can have the rebreather. Any face is good, except no glowing eyes. All the rest of the body should have circuitry chosen as the pattern. Now to move down to the upper bod. Tech banded, tech wired, tech crey, armor plate and steam punk are the best to go with, with steampunk being the most favored it seems. For the shoulders, nothing is prefered, but some of the small ones are ok. On the hands, wristbands work and banded robotic is very popular. Large robotic is NOT allowed. Some other with the circuitry are ok, but no fins or spikes. Many of the belt are acceptable, so I will not go into detail there. As for the bottoms and boots, mostly the same as the upper body. Tech banded, tech wired and steampunk are best. Again with the circuitry on everything.
