Her house was ruined. The windows were shattered, the priceless vases smashed. She stood there, her hair freyed, her eyes glowing. The rock must have touched her hand and exploded, for some reason. She wondered how it happened and fainted. Cate woke up in the hospital the following morning. The doctor said nothing was wrong with her, but her house was smashed to bits. That ticked her off, but it was time to go. She decided to go to the bank and get some money. As it so happens, robbers were stealing from it. Enraged, she screamed and flung out her hand, and a streak of lightning flew out from it. The robber was twitching on the ground, electricity pulsing through him.
The other robbers bolted with the money. Cate was confused. The other people at the bank were scared stiff. She ran out. Appearentally, news of her spread to the ears of a hero named Batai, who convinced her that she had super powers and should join up with him on Skyline. She agreed, donned a costume, and decided to start a new life, as now her house, job, and money were gone. That was when she became Skyshock.
