National Archives in Washington,D.C.. Note there are two seperate entries for Roddey's Cavalry. They are Roddey's Fourth
Alabama Cavalry and Roddey's Escort Cavalry (Alabama).
This unit was organized October 21,1862 and mustered into the Confederate Service on November 8,1862
