James Henderson Jernigan
Born in 1845 just north of Ozark (Dill community)
James joined the 57th in 1863. He was wounded at
the Battle of Peachtree Creek.  He was also at the
Battles of Franklin and Nashville and was at
Bentonville at the close of the war.

born Oct. 27,1844 in Russell County, Al. died 18
Jan.1933 in Ozark, Al. Son of Lemuel & Elizebeth Carpenter Parker.
