Thomas Jefferson Hurst age 22 First entered service in Company I of the 11th Battalion on March 4, 1862 at Camp Davis.    The 11th Battalion became Company I of the 47th Regiment Georgia Infantry on May 12, 1862. He was promoted to 5th Sgt. May 5,1862 contributed by Paula Hurst
