Holland Bell asumed the roll of Captain of Company
H. following th resignation of Capt. Ogden and remained

    Wiley Baxter Pollard - Pvt. - Company B
Born 18 July 1845 in Pickens Conuty, Alabama Died 22 September 1922
in Prentiss County, Mississippi. Wiley along with three brothers, John R.,
Latimore M., and Luellen G. joined Company B. Wiley was wounded in
the battle of Stone River and on 12 April 1863 he was admitted to the
Episcopal Church Hospital, Williamsburg Virginia. After being exchanged
18 April 1863 he was furloughed and later rejoined his unit. He was
captured again 3 April 1865 at Amelia Courthouse, Virginia and finally
released on 8 July 1865

    George Thomas Stillman - Sgt Company H.
George was born 14 August 1841 in Fayette County Alabama
and died 4 September 1901 in Chickasaw County, Mississippi.

    Theodore Gaillard Trimmier - Captain - Major - Lt. Colonel
Born 11 April 1825 in Spartanburg, South Carolina. First
entered service as Captain of Sipsey Guards Milita Co. which
became Company A. of the 41st Alabama Infantry. Theodore
rose through the ranks and finally became Lt. Colonel. He
was wounded at Hatchers Run, Virginia and died from these
wounds 7 April 1865 at Ptersburg, Va. just 4 days short of his
40th birthday.

    John Rufus Sanford - Private Company H.
Born 31 August 1832 in Fayette County, Alabama
Died 24 June 1899 in Fayette County, Alabama and
is buried at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church Cemetery
in Fayette County.

    John Francis Wright - Private Company H.
COMPLEXION: dark - HAIR: dark - EYES: blue -- 5'11 TALL
Born  18 March 1834 Died 12 September 1911 at Nauvoo
in Walker County,Alabama and is buried at Old Bethel Cemetery
just across the County line in Winston County, Alabama near the
town of Nauvoo.

    Newton Mitchell - Private - Company I.
Newton enlisted 3 May 1862 at Fayette Alabama. He as wounded at the
Battle of Stone River  where he was captured and lost his right arm.
He was sent to Camp Morton Indiana and delivered to City Point Virginia 12
April 1863 and was discharged 20 May 1863. After the war he move to
Sabine County Texas in 1869 and to Vanzandt County Texas 8 November
1873. Newton was ordained to preach at Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church in
Canton Texas 22 August 1875. He was then called to be the first pastor
of Little New Hope Church in Canton Texas 5 March 1893. A history of
Little New Hope Church states that he served for five years and ten months
and  the first pastor of any new church must have been loved in a special
way because the first few years required extra care and devotion of all
involved to have survived. Brother Mitchell must have served well.
Newton died at the family home in Canton 19 November 1920.

    Elijah Holliman - Private - Company B.
Elijah was born 12 July 1839 in Fayette County Alabama. He
enlisted along with his brothers Cornielus and Warren and fought
in all of the engagements of the 41st. On 22 August 1864 at Petersburg, Virginia he was wounded by a 58 caliber minnie ball
and was treated at the hospital at Richmond, Virginia. On 8 November 1864 he was furloughed home to recover from his wound. The war ended before he could rejoin his Unit. Elijah died
11 May 1937. He was the last Confederate Veteran to die in Lamar County, Alabama. He is buried at Springhill Southern Baptist Cemetery about 5 miles west of Millport, Alabama.

    John Thomas Holliman - Private - Company H.
John was born on 23 April 1844 in Fayette County, Alabama. He enlisted
at the age of 18 at Tuscaloosa, Alabama. He fought with the 41st through
all of the campaigns  and surrendered, barefoot and starving, from the
trenches of Petersburg, Virginia  15 February 1865. He died on 12 July
1930 and is buried at Caines Ridge Cemetery in Fayette County, Alabama.

    Warren C. Holliman - Private - Company B.
born in Anson County, North Carolina and move to Fayette County Alabama
around 1836. Warren enlisted on 29 March 1862 and fought with the 41st in
all of the battles in which it was engaged. he was wounded by a .58 caliber
minnie ball 17 August 1864 in the trenches at Petersburg, Virginia. He was
hospitalized at Richmond and was furloughed home as W.I.A.on 3 November 1864. The war ended before he could rejoin his Unit. Back in Fayette County
Alabama he over Came his wounds where it is said he became one of the
strongest men in the county able to lift a 500 pound bale of cotton and walk
with it. Warren died 4 December 1908 in Fayette County Alabama and is
buried , between his two wives, at Chapel Hill Cemetery on RT. 12 just west
of Newtonville in Fayette County Alabama.
Warren also had two brothers in Company B of the 41st Alabama Cornelius
Holliman who was killed in action 9 July 1864 and Elijah Holliman.

    William Blakeney - 3rd Sergeant Company B.
William was born in 1832 in Fayette County Alabama the great
grandson of Revolutionary hero Captain John Blakeney.
William enlisted in the 41st and fought with his unit. He was listed
in the hospital at Chattanooga Tennessee in November/ December
1862. He was actively engaged at th Battle of Chickamauga in
September 1863. In the next report he is listed as being in the
hospital in the commandered Cumberland Presbyterian Church
in Charleston, Tennessee, where he died of pneumonia about
November/ December 1863.
William is probably buried in the Church Cemetery in an unmark grave.

    James White - Captain - Company G
James was born 6 March 1823 in South Carolina. On 3 April 1862,
at the age of 39, he enlisted in Company G of the 41st and was
elected Lieutentant and on 18 February 1864 was promoted to Capt.
of the Company. In April of 1864 he was wounded during the Battles
of Drury's Bluff, Dutch Gap and Hatcher's Run but recovered from
his injuries. In August of 1864 he fell ill at Petersburg Va. and was
sent to the hospital at Lauderdale Springs Mississippi. On February
15, 1865 he was disabled by surgeons certificate and sent home to
Tuscaloosa, Alabama.
After the war James served on the Board of Commissioners and in
1869 became  Justice of the Peace. James died 10 January 1895
and is buried at Dunn's Creek Baptist Church Cemetery #2.
The side arms that Capt. James White carried are on display at
Beauvior, the Jefferson Davis Shrine, in Biloxi Mississippi.

Admitted to Howard's Grove Hospital, Richmond Va. September
7, 1864 and furloughed October 8, 1864.
