Jasper M. Merritt - Private Company I Born 1832 died 1909 buried at Laural Hill, Florida. Although wounded, shot in the left knee and the jaw, at the Battle at Reseca Georgia Pvt. Merritt survived. courtsey of Eldon Merritt |
Madison Lewis Ward - Private Company E. Madison enlisted 1 May 1862 and was assigned to Company E. He was captured at the Vicksburg on 4 July 1863 and paroled 9 July 1864. Ignoring theconditions of his parole he rejoined service and was recaptured 24 November 1863 at the Battle of Missionary Ridge. He was imprisioned at the Rock Island Barracks in Illinois until exchanged 20 March 1865.
