Burgess Miller - Private - Company F.
Burgess enlisted April 1, 1862 at Maysville, Alabama and was wounded
at the Battle of Champion's Hill. He was taken by ambulance wagon to
the hospital in Vicksburg Mississippi and ended up in the Seige of
Vicksburg. He was paroled at Vicksburg July 11,1863. The 35th slipped
away and fought till the end of the war.
After the war he was Sunday School Superintentant at Paul's Chapel
near Ryland, Alabama. He was a Cumberland Presbyterian. He died April
25, 1917 near Ryland in Madison County, Alabama and is buried at
Ryland Cemetery
