William died at the Battle of Port Gibson, Mississippi
in 1863.

Died 29 August 1917 in Crenshaw County, Alabama
Enlisted 12 October 1861 at Montgomery, Alabama
He was captured at the Battle of Port Gibson, Mississippi
and sent to Alton Military Prison, Illinois and exchanged at
Camp Lee, Virginia on 12 June 1863.
