Evan Coleman Ballard - Private - Company G.
Evan was wounded July 3, 1863 at Gettysburg
He was paroled at Appomattox 10 April 1865

Thomas Sims Phillips - 4th Sgt. Company I.
Thomas first enlisted at Roanoke, Alabama in September 1861 and
proceeded to Montgomery for training. According to his service
record he was present for most of the major battles  in which the
13th was engaged. He was wounded at the Battle of Antietam and
Gettysburg. He was wounded captured and paroled in the prisoner
exchange at Gettysburg. On 6 June 1864 at a place called Turkey
Creek near Gainesville, Virginia he was struck in the chest by a
minnie-ball and died about 45 minutes later. His place of burial is
unknown. His widow drew a privates pension.
