Who is Jesus?  Some use His name improperly, some worship Him.  Why the difference?

All of our academic knowledge of Him comes from the pages of the Bible.  But we can know even more of Jesus by having a day to day relationship with Him.  That is a unique situation.  We can read books about, say, Rameses II of Egypt, the greatest pharaoh. Perhaps we can imagine what he and his life were like, but there can be no real contact.  Besides, Rameses was a mortal man, his mummified body is on display, dry and withered. In the case of Jesus we have not only an empty tomb and eyewitness accounts of Him risen from the dead, but today millions of people declare that they have a day to day relationship with a living person, Jesus, the Son of God.  But let us turn to His epithets, titles or names and what they mean.

*The brightness of His (God's) glory.
  Hebrews 1:3
