Legends of Arathia

Arathia is a land of poems, songs, and legends. Everywhere bards sang and riddled and staged plays and told stories to those who would listen, before Maldonioth forbade such arts. Arathians enjoyed listening to the old tales that many of them could remember the events of from their youths, and treasured the retellings of stories from the glorious First Age, when Iaretar led their people.

Until the day she was betrayed and killed, Ellothenelle, the first queen of the roshaines, told the tale of her first day of life, when she awoke at dawn to see the Taraine becoming their dreams, and of how she merged with a wild horse and became the first Roshaine.

The Nueraines, Children of the Sea, have a deep knowledge of Life, and are able to shape it to their liking. This is the anciant tale of how they learned to bend the stuff of Life to their wills.

Now, as the Arathians sojourn among the planes and spheres of other worlds in exile from their home, they create new tales to remember and sing about the things that have befallen them, so that they will never forget these happenings. Adriana's Tale tells of the first time an Arathian met the inhabitant of another world.
