| Article XIII ELECTIONS Sec. 1 The members of the Executive Committee composed of the President, Vice-President, Secretary, Treasurer, Auditor, Internal PRO, and External PRO will be elected. Sec. 2 Qualification of a member for any of the elective position are the following: 2.1.1 He is enrolled during his term of office. 2.1.2 He has to be at least of junior scholastic standing at the time of his election. 2.1.3 He has to be a bonafide member with two year residency prior to his election. 2.2 For the Other Positions 2.2.1 He is enrolled during his term of office. 2.2.2 He has to be bonafide member with one year residency prior to his election. Sec. 3 Candidates may be nominated by any member of the organization or they may file for their own candidacy provided they are qualified and meet the requirements. A member may choose not to run any position despite nominations. Sec. 4 Only those who are present during election are qualified to vote. Sec. 5 Elections shall be held anytime in the last month of the second semester as scheduled. Sec. 6 Election procedures shall be conducted as follows: 6.1 Through secret balloting. 6.2 A majority vote shall consist of 50% + 1 of the entire voters. 6.3 In case of tie, a special elections shall be held not later than one week thereafter. Sec. 7 The Committee on Elections (Comelec) shall be created two weeks before the election, by the outgoing Execom, to facilitate and organize the electoral proceedings. It shall be composed of three members not running for any position. Sec. 8 In case of incapability or resignation of the duly elected President, he shall be replaced automatically by the duly elected Vice-President. Sec. 9 The term of office of the members of the Execom shall be for one academic year only. |
