Articles I to III
NAME
Sec. 1 The name of the organization shall be known as COGITO.
Sec. 2 It shall be the Philosophy Society of the Colegio de San
Juan de Letran, located at 151 Muralla St. Intramuros,
Manila.
Article II
NATURE
Sec. 1 The COGITO is the Official Philosophy student
organization of the Colegio de San Juan de Letran.
Sec. 2 It shall be under the Philosophy Area of the College of
Liberal Arts, Sciences and Education, and of the Office of
the Student Services.
Sec. 3 It shall be a socio-academic group and shall be a
non-partisan organization.
Article III
OBJECTIVES
Sec. 1 To create a learning environment that will bring forth the
total formation of the individual through philosophical
enrichment and the power of virtue through an integration
of culture with faith and faith with life itself.
Sec. 2 To assist the members in developing a clear understanding
of the philosophy of life and of fundamental matters that
illuminate the context of supernatural truth by advocating
critical philosophical reflections, personal discipline, and
social awareness and by proving its members with a venue
for their philosophical ventures.
Sec. 3 To foster unity and camaraderie among the Letranites in
general and its members in particular by striving to grow
in the true spirit of brotherhood, and experience in part of
the reality of the sense of community.
