Some items of Coggeshall's Past at the Museum

Child's china teaset from 1890

Oak bracket carved by the man who restored Paycocke's house

Bricks from Coggeshall abbey

A fine display of items from the local chemist shop. There are items for the treatment of both man and beast and some photographic items including a display of antique (and some rare) cameras.

Memories of washdays.A wash dolly, scrubbing board and galvanised tub  - how things have changed!

An enamel beaker made as a souvenir of Queen Victoria's Diamond Jubilee in 1897. The framed advertisement shows that it cost just a few pence.

A couple of pictures from our large picture archive of times past in Coggeshall.
