Degeneracy breaking of vibrational modes of a silicon sphere

Silicon is anisotropic. The direction averaged speeds of sound in silicon are 9017 m/s and 5372 m/s. "Average silicon" is defined to be an isotropic material whose speeds of sound correspond with the direction averages for silicon. The Poisson ratio of this material is 0.2249.
