"M" is for the million things she gave me, "O" means only that she's growing old, "T" is for the tears she shed to save me, "H" is for her heart of purest gold; "E" is for her eyes, with love-light shining, "R" means right, and right she'll always be,
Put them all together, they spell "MOTHER"
A word that means the world to me.

IN LOVING MEMORY
OF
Our Precious Mother
Dorothy L. Grace Hord
December 5th, 1913 - March 29th, 1984
"Rembrance"
Not a day goes by that
I don't think of you,
And when I do,
Your smile moves through my mind.
Eager, bright and kind,
In Memories so warm and clear,
And how I wish that you were here.
She was a Loving Mother to... two Daughters and one Son,
a Grandmother to... two Granddaughters and six Grandsons
and a Great-Grandmother to... four Great-Granddaughters and three Great-Grandsons
and a Great-Great-Grandmother to... one Great-Great-Grandson.
Memories...I remember My Mother being a part of my life from my very first memories. She had always been there. She's the one who taught me how to do so many of my daily activities. From doing hospital corners when making beds, to the world's best meatloaf, fried chicken and Bless her Heart, she tried so very hard to teach me how to make smooth gravy and to this day, I still make lumpy gravy, I always have to laugh and I say out loud to her, "Mom, you tried...I just didn't learn this lesson very well." Passing down recipes she learned from her Mother, she always had the patience necessary to teach me. Ironing shirts, now that is something else that I struggled with...she taught me the right way to do it. It's amazing to think of how many things she taught me...even when she wasn't trying. "Thank-you Mom for being the World's Best Mother and for being there for me when I needed you..." "Mom, there is not a day goes by that I don't think of you...I know that you are so very proud of all of us...and I miss you so very much...I love you and Happy Mother's Day Mom....."
A Mother holds you close,
trying to guide you and give you a sense of
values,
yet sets you free to find out for yourself
just who you are and
who you want to be;
A Mother dreams great dreams for you,
yet accepts the dreams that you
decide to follow,
and will always love you just the way you are.

Whenever I think of the people
who make a real difference in my life,
I
think of My Sister, My Daughter, My Friends I can talk to...
I think of My Sister, My Daughter, My Friends I have fun
with...
I think of My Sister, My Daughter, My Friends I can count on
no matter what...
and
whenever I think of My wonderful Sister, My Beautiful Daughter, My Very Dear Friends
and all that they've given
to me,
I think of how lucky,
how blessed I have been to have found
all
of them in you...
