| In January 2003, Rick Young sent emails to various elected officials in the Bay Area urging them to pass similar coffee ordinances. He discussed why Measure O, Berkeley's initiative, failed and outlined changes that could be made to make the law more appealing to voters. Rick offered to work with elected officials to see that a law could be passed. Only Matt Gonzales, President of the San Francisco Board of Supervisors, even bothered to respond. |
